Wild stuff. I guess after Spence, Reggie and now this I’m gonna have to wonder who else we might be sitting on not giving a fair chance to.
Actually got more protection from the ref in that second half on corners than Vicario has in his entire Spurs career. They were fouls but no chance Vic gets those whistles… I think the officials realised they went too far in the first half and the fix was too obviousGot crowded on corner kicks and didn't get flustered. Other than the Gordon goal wasn't really tested side to side. Interesting debut. Will do his confidence good.

McCoist was purely taking the piss with MOTM. Their fucking keeper made better saves and they won, he should’ve been MOTM if you give it a keeper.Look, again, let’s not get carried away. The kid did ok but he was a bit flat footed for their equaliser and he took no chances with his passing out. Did well on set pieces. I don’t think he saved anything he shouldn’t have.
I think MOTM flattered him tbh, just think McCoist liked the narrative.
He really has deserved to get more games since breaking his duck. Hoping to see a lot more of him.
I disagree massively.McCoist was purely taking the piss with MOTM. Their fucking keeper made better saves and they won, he should’ve been MOTM if you give it a keeper.
Probably Gordon was MOTM if you give a fair award
I disagree massively.
Mccoist is a former pro and he behaved like one today.
Austin must have been shitting it every time Dan Burn went near him but he just kept catching the ball and getting on with it. Austin's career has clearly been stunted by Spurs failure to stick by any managerial appointment in the last 5 years. Poch, Jose, Nuno or Conte should have fucked off Hugo ages before the decision was finally taken to let his contract run out.
Austin did enough today to be Spurs 2nd choice keeper going forward in my opinion.
If he can keep those levels up Vicario may be in trouble; never mind Forster.
Vicario is a great shot stopper and pulls off phenomenal saves. He is also easily bullied and his distribution is suspect. He’s the best keeper we have currently but he’s a no 2 keeper. Please don't get me wrong about Vicario - I think he's a fantastic keeper. He literally just has the one weakness. If he can continue to improve in that area, which he has been doing, and ultimately eliminate that weakness - he could be elite.
Looked a lot better than the lumbering Mr Forrester … which confirms that the decision to keep Spence off the Europa League squad in favor of Forrester was really stupid since fullback rotation is so critical - being club trained has real practical value which Ange failed to take advantage of …Austin is just okay IMO. A good backup at best, a solid third string keeper. He is what he is basically, nothing more. He played well today for sure, but was not asked to do much with the ball at his feet - was given more liberty to just boot it away. Even Forster is trusted more with the ball at his feet. Again, the pecking order is what it is and accurately reflects the skill level of each keeper we currently have. As for the Antonin kid we just signed, now he has the looks of someone that can not only challenge, but possibly even overtake Vicario. Let's face it, Vicario is weak on corners, has no command of his area on corner kicks and teams target him constantly. Yes, he's been much better at corners this season, but he still makes you nervous every time![]()
