Lol, so you're saying he'd have been shit and the reason we were going to have a disappointing season even if he had scored the winning goal today.

Can you even see how utterly senseless you're being? I never said Johnson had a great game - he had some good moments (most of which, ironically, were doing the off-ball, non-attacking stuff you say he doesn't do), but like most everyone else after the first goal, it was a rather pedestrian outing.

But to sit here and pretend like scoring a winning goal is fucking meaningless is beyond the pale. It proves that you've simply got an agenda against him and plan to say he's shit regardless of anything he does.

As if on cue, you demonstrate your lack of understanding of the game by misunderstanding what I said.

I said "if Johnson had got his toe onto Porro's header" which was the only goal we scored in the game, meaning if he'd have got a touch on a ball that was already going in you'd have chatting your usual shit but you've taken it to mean something else entirely which is understandable as you clearly don't watch football and the nuance of what I said wouldn't show up in a spreadsheet.
 
Thing with BJ is, what does he do in training? You would think by now he would have at least learned a trick or two to try and beat a full-back. You can't just rely on pace, otherwise you end up a Dan James and wind up in the Championship.

Look, I absolutely get the fact that when it comes to individual players, you support them as well as you can. Some might say it should be unconditional. Fair enough.

But I categorically refuse to pretend that he is anything other than an exceedingly basic winger that had a hot streak (ish) at Forest. Doesn’t fit our system at all. Never opens up on the wing and demonstrates an ability to go left or right past a player. No intelligent drifting between lines. No deft movement.

So average.
