i made this rejoice GIF

On my knees.

This is what dreams are made of.

I don't think they can afford a team lunch at Greggs right now, but would be amusing for them to cash in the Kudus money for the guy he replaced

They can't score goals.

Brennan would also be decent next season if they got relegated.

It's a plan A to stay up and a plan B if they go down.

Brennan gets to stay in London too.

I think they will make their move.

Noise about Paqueta leaving too.

That doesn't feel like the 'West Ham way' though.

I feel like the kind of thing they'd do is to get relegated, put in a £50m bid (standard Dildo bros bid) for Troy Parrot, boast about how they stole our next Harry Kane, and end up in league one

Having him run in behind the defense to receive those through balls by Mateta, a pattern of play that can get executed properly even with someone like Devenny on the receiving end as we saw, sounds nice. I see the appeal in that sense.

But then, unless the player in question is like prime Dele in terms of being able to score in innumerable ways, there's more to that attacking midfielder role in the narrow 3-4-2-1 that Glasner uses. None of Eze, Olise, Ismaila Sarr or Yeremy Pino are poachers who do nothing but run into the space.

Dele did very well when Pochettino briefly experimented with the same formation because he was scoring for fun. Kane and Eriksen were setting the table for him to feast, even if they also had to carry him a little bit in the process.

Johnson not only has a very limited all-around game; but even his goal scoring is quite one-dimensional in the sense that he has to be on the receiving end in the back post of a low cross for what people pejoratively refer as tap-ins. That's who he has been, and who he will most likely be.

That's why comparing him to prolific goal scorers from past to present, who also offer(ed) very little in other departments, has always made little sense. Johnson is not even a prolific goal scorer, unless you really want to stretch the definition of the term.

Thought we'd have to pay someone to take him. This is a great start.
Put that money towards a starting LW.
Then add a top ball-playing CM and I'm happy.
LB would be icing on the cake.

Realistically, a good window would be to replace Vicario with an experience starting keeper, better competition at FB, and someone who can make things happen around the forward line. Whether that's LW, AM, or CM.

Ideally, we need players back from injury, but someone that looks dangerous on the ball is absent from the team right now

Brennan's pace, on the counter attack, in a Nuno team, could keep the Spammers up I reckon.

We need to sell him to Spam after we play them.

For now; let the auction begin.

Whoever wants to stay up will pay more than 35 million in my opinion.

Whilst it’s been a challenge for me to watch us play this season, what hasn’t been a challenge is keeping up with all the goals we’ve not been scoring.

Whilst it looks like good business to sell Johnson, as he’s not getting a game, any semi competent manager would look at our top scorer from last season, see us in the bottom half of the table and maybe try to improve on what the player offers.

Show me another club that’s this fucked up. And show me another set of supporters that sell their top scorer for 35m and celebrate.

Limited he may be. The winger we appear to want he is not. But the manager should have done better with him.

Makes sense to cash in while he’s still sniffing around the first team. When Kulu is back and with Kudus in his preferred position, there’s not a lot left in those spaces. Clearly, Johnson struggled to shift out to the LW and doesn’t seem to have the fight in him to play as Frank would like. Thinking of our past managers, he may have - possibly- been kept by Poch as a backup for the six weeks out of seven that Lamela was injured, but Mourinho, Conte - he just doesn’t have the fight.

Good luck to him, but always a fish out of water in a team that doesn’t play on the counter.

£35 million in this day and age for a PL proven goal scorer albeit our Top goal scorer from last season is a bargain for the buying club , I was told Frank was the kind of guy who could make use of the squad he has and get the best out of them , yet he hasn’t found a way to integrate Brennan into the mix and yet we sit in the bottom half of the league as we are struggling to score goals…….

His direct competition on the RW is Kudus and Kulusevski who are both better players. If we decided to go with inverted wingers then his competition is Odobert and Richy (if/when Solanke is fit) who are arguably better players.

It was a strange signing in the first place for nearly £50M when you consider what that can buy you, but he goes with my best wishes
What worries me though is we haven’t replaced his goals and Kudus doesn’t look like he will get close to even 10 goals this season , we are selling last seasons top goal scorer and the majority of people are over the moon as we are getting £35 million for him , yet I’m still wondering who in the current team is replacing his goal contribution , isn’t Own goal our joint second highest goal scorer this season alongside our Centre back in VDV?
If we just replace BJ with another Tel or Odobert we are going to be worse off for it , personally I will wait to see who we replace him with before celebrating his departure
