A few of us (you included iirc) warned of how dangerous it was to allow a losing culture to be formed and it's likely lasting effects.
It takes root in the psyche and is a mthrfkr to shift.
Last manager accepted it (cultured it), many fans accepted it, so players accepted it and it was normalised.
And the rot was set.
Big problem.
Then the incoming manager needs to avoid talk of finishing 17th and set us up to play in a manner which reeks inferiority.

I'm sure Palace will put him to good use in their system, which is tailor-made to produce counter situations for Brennan to thrive on.
I think if he'd had better coaching since we got him, he'd have turned out better for us. Anyways, now we hope the club can put the money received to better use...

Can’t recall who it was, but I was arguing with someone on here before the summer window, as I was saying it would be mental to buy a RW to replace Johnson, who was our top scorer. 10 greater needs in the first 11 as far as I was concerned.
I was wrong, as we bought Kudus. He’s the Johnson replacement. Don’t go thinking we have a manager with the wit to play Kudus in his preferred number 10 position. And don’t think we have a leadership that will operate at a decent level in the window.
Only we could sell our top scorer three summers in a row. Fucking stupendous redardation.
The problem was he didn't do much of that.
Nobody could identify the strategy the club are employing.
It's a mish-mash of unfathomable tripe.
Nothing is coherent, and little makes sense.
Frank simply epitomises that to me, with some of the nonsense he spouts and the complete lack of cohesion on the field, with next to no consistency or pattern forming.
As for the players we might bring in to add firepower who knows what we will do. Probably buy some fancy dan who scores 1 goal in 10.

Johnson is now history, but he didn't get that many chances this season and had a manager who he knew was not a fan of his.

Kane wanted to leave and had 1 year left on his contract.
Son was just shadow of himself and it was perfect moment to leave after winning EL.
Having Johnson in the same category next to Kane and Son because he scored 11 goals in Premier League last season...
All those decisions from club were right. We failed Kane before he left (but that's another story), and still struggle to replace his and Son output - but those guys are Spurs legends. But we absolutely should not have problem with replacing Johnson output.
And guess what - hopefully this summer we will sell another 'top scorer' - Richarlison. And again it will be correct decision.
Yeah one of the players where if he wasn’t scoring he wasn’t doing anything else , however his goals won us games , including the EL final , and I’m just surprised we never tried him on the right this season and Kudus as the 10, I’m sure had he played the same amount of minutes as Kudus he would have scored a lot more , and if we are being brutally honest what has Kudus actually shown apart from being able to run with the ball and not score or pass?
Kudus wants to play the 10? I thought he had said this summer that part of the reason he left Spam was that they had asked him to play centrally too often?
Scored 18 goals last season in all comps from the right side. Thats a good return. What we don't want to happen is last minute deals, we need replacements now.
