He doesn’t play for us now, so I don’t really care how he plays. Just struck me that a few posters were on this thread straight away.
If he gets thirty goals by seasons end, it doesn’t mean we shouldn’t have sold him. Just that he’s performing in a different environment. In the same way if we hadn’t sold him, he might have scored a winner today. Or done fuck all. So no real point in discussing how well he has, hasn’t, wouldn’t or would’ve done.
Some folk just seem to have a really personal gripe against the guy.

He’s rubbish. The club sucks at most things at the moment but getting that cash for him was a master stroke.
Feel like it has evened out the Eze shitshow a little.

I'm surprised he hasn't contributed as yet.
I do think in part it's a matter of how he is played and for us he scored goals, within a current team that have acquired non-scoring forwards, it's hardly a mention of glee.
No issue selling Johnson but how we did so and still on day 23 of this window have not brought a goalscorer in, is the bigger matter, by far.
Good decision to sell. About the one good thing we've done in recent months. I do think his pretty obvious lackadaisical attitude pisses off fanbases fairly quickly. You dont move on players that can score a few as rapidly as we did if there aren't issues elsewhere.
