Match Brighton & Hove Albion vs Tottenham Hotspur - Sunday 6th October - 16:30KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Side picks itself fairly easily. Udogie and Son only question marks due to injury.

Dragusin will get pretty much every EL match and PL starts when we begin midweek games. He flubbed his opportunity last week. Absolutely no reason to shoehorn him in for Romero with the Int break coming up and the boys just coming off possibly the best performance under Ange in the league.

Yes very good chaps but he’s going to be better than Werner. Also teamed up with Solanke, they can bother hold up play, press and drop back. Personally I think he’d be fucking great. As long as he stays fit of course.

From the left? Yeah you are probably right if he’s fit but what are the chances of that, let’s be honest

I saw Brighton play against Chelsea and their high-line is kamikaze.

I think Werner and Johnson will have a lot of success.... ...as long as Werner keeps passing to Johnson!

Feels self explanatory (Provided Son is available). However, regardless of how we may feel about it, I do think there is a chance that he could swap Dragusin for Romero. Ultimately, we signed Dragusin so that wouldn't be a clear divide between the starting pair, and the backups. The idea was that we'd have at least three centre backs of starting quality. To not play Dragusin when he's had a week off and Romero's played the full 90 tonight, would almost be the confirmation that he's not as trustworthy as Romero and Van Der Ven.. And I don't know if the manager would want to send that message.
I really like the look and shape of that team!
4-1-2-3 just looks right!

Actually flip that around: Romero+Spence first half, swapping for Dragusin+Porro at half time so we have some experience there both halves.
That's actually a really good idea...
Wouldn't it be great if sensible football logic was guaranteed to work?

It would be ideal to be able to make pre-planned subs that are part of the tactical plan, rather than enforced ones that sometimes throw us into chaos!

Zero chance imo. Son will play anyway - there’s nowhere for Richy to go

When we first signed Richy, I was always under the impression that he was more of a winger who could play up front, rather than an out-and-out striker (a BIT like Son, and a bit like Werner was SUPPOSED to be!)

Maybe taking the onus off him to be THE man up top might play more to his strengths...

I think Richy could become the player we all thought Werner would be!

In Richy, Son and Werner, we have 3 very similarly positional players...
Just with vastly differing ability and fitness levels!

Agreed.

Regardless of his level and injury record, he is a player capable of scoring important goals in big moments. Werner defo isn’t that.

Don't think Romero and Porro need rest - it was first time this season when they played midweek game. Only changes vs squad that faced United - Spence for Udogie (if he is not fit), and Son in for Werner (if Son is fit).

May just be a blessing.

I'm torn on it

Son is our best presser (Solanke closing in), he's also still arguably our best finisher so we lose further goal threat by him missing.

However, he really does need a rest. He seems to have played consistent football for aslong as I can remember. It also means Moore is getting more and more minutes which is exciting.

No plan survives first contact with the enemy - Helmuth von Moltke (paraphrased / simplified)

Can't handle these seemingly frequent international breaks. What's worse is when or if we get a shit result heading into them.
For my own sanity, i really hope we keep the positive momentum going with a good result.
