If we were not to use Spence against tired legs, Werner could as well have stayed on.

Ange prepared well for the game, but was unable to keep momentum and take charge when we stumbled second half
 
I really want to back Ange. I really do but he seriously lacks in game management knowledge. It’s just, stay doing the same shit at all cost even when it’s not working. Our players are to weak minded to fight back. It’s all just fucking pathetic
 
From 135 minutes of the best football we've played this season to 45 minutes of the worst.

No one can legislate for Udogie gifting them a goal with a ridiculous piece of defending but for that nervousness to spread and infect the entire back four - VDV and Cuti in particular - is so so disappointing. None of them won a contest in that period. Everyone wanted someone else to save the day.

Just when you think Cuti and Maddison are going to step it up - their lack of response in that second half is just so so dispiriting. Everyone's heads dropped.

Bitter, bitter way to go into the break. We can take the loss but the manner of it breaks trust.
 
Lost the plot, could tell was one of those games we'd either win 4-0 or lose 3-2. Bad defending for all 3 goals but Udogie on 1st and that weak eftort from Bentacour on the 3rd were comical.

I'm not sure how you can legislate for a total capitulation if every player in the second half.


But the time to make the fucking Sarr and Bissouma change was when we were either 2-1 or 2-2 ....not fucking 3-2 down.


He's so slow to react to what is going on in the game for some reason.
 
Turns out skanking a victory against a Champo team, beating the worst United team ever seen, and going life and death in games against FC Carrier Bag and the like in the UEFA B competition doesn't solve all ills.

Too little reliable quality and far too many fair weather performers and flaky personalities in this squad, which in itself is paper thin. Consistency is just missing from so many of them, not even from game to game, but within a 90 minutes.

It's just going to keep being random ups and downs from week to week with this lot. Don't delude yourself otherwise.
