Match Brighton & Hove Albion vs Tottenham Hotspur - Sunday 6th October - 16:30KO

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Oh please don’t start with the leader nonsense.

We need better fuckung footballers.
It's about mentality and desire. Not just one leader. Every single player should take a look at themselves in that second half. They came out in the second half with the wrong attitude which was underlined by Udogie's mistake. That tone was already set. A single leader on the pitch doesn't change that mentality.

One thing I can't fathom is making conservative subs at the 80min mark when the game's out of reach and we need a goal.....

Expecting Biss at 79mins to change the game when 3-2 down when the oppo has already banked down in a 442 is baffling, but then merely swapping Madz for Moore with 5mins to go is just weak. Ange gets constantly ragged on for being gung-ho; but where is the bravery in that scenario? .......That's some dismal Conte type shit!

..........Take a defender off and try to rescue a point FFS!

Please, someone offer up a tactical theory....... Just something even half plausible to restore a little faith.

I always feel confident against Brighton - mainly because I grew up near there and they’ve always been shit. I still think of them as a very soft lower league team. They’re really L1 level but got disproportionately lucky with a super rich owner. Most of their supposed fans had Brighton as a second team at best 10 years’ ago. 4,000 people went to see them regularly at the Withdean. Half that bothered at all at Gillingham. Remarkable rise from near death in non league to where they are now. It’s a bit like when Wigan were in the PL. Wigan isn’t a football town and neither is Brighton. Wigan being more RL and Brighton being something else altogether.

Massive win incoming.

:gazza2:
It's his fault ^

We now have played 7 league games and lost 3 of them and even drew with Leicester !!!!
We could all see this coming ..every team seems to know how easy we are to get at and just waits for there chances that are guaranteed to come there way at some point.....I don't want to say this, but how is postenoclue not under pressure now, he should be....I don't think he's good enough and I never did, from the Scottish pub league to the Premier league is a massive step that he clearly cannot manage.......
*their......you ignoramus.

Utterly embarrassing. From top to bottom. Pure & simple.

Have some friggin humble pie. Thought we was gonna walk the league & cup comps after that run & OT win but the reality is we beat the worst United side in history and struggled mightily to beat proper giants like Coventry + Qarabag + Ferencvaros...we'd have lost them games vs half decent opposition.

Played 7, lost 3, a meagre 10 pts on the board.

But yeah we're challenging this year. Levy & Ange said so.
We will finish 8th or 9th. dismal I know but, team isn't good enough and the openess of our game is scary.

agreed and asked something very similar

I understand what you're saying, and you can't let the players off the hook for the second half, but as far as letting Ange down I don't see it. They did what Postecoglou wants, in that they ignored the game situation. Teams (and players) need to adjust to game situations. You get up 2-0 you change tactics to make it as difficult as possible for the opponent to get to 2-1. Spurs approach at 2-0, though, is to do what you have to in order to get to 3-0. It's not just the players, it's a philosophy. It's great when it works, but it’s a risk.
They never got Solanke in the game at all second half. And that I felt was the biggest problem. Game was won. Just play slow and long. No need to keep going hell for leather when 0-2 ahead. It’s play ground / Ossie levels of football and it does not work as Ange is proving most weeks this year. There was no need for highlines and clowns in the minefield defending. This is 100% on Ange.

However, that third goal is CRIMINAL and yet again Romero is heavily involved in a complete calamity. So maybe I have to blame him & Ange. Welbeck made a cunt if you boy ! Welbeck.

The biggest need is a leader on that pitch for us.

We see it time and time again, that we have the capacity to crumble. It shouldn't be like that and until it's rectified we are going to have days like this.

Strewth.
Yeah, and our captain can't speak English. He probably only communicate to Porro and Bentancur. I always have to use translation to understand his IG post too. And now I'm so fucking annoyed seeing him used to saying this is the way forward this is the way forward.

Yeah the second half was a battle of wills, nothing more. Brighton were always going to come out strong in the second half, we simply weren’t ready for it. Nobody was ready for battle.

Not servicing Solanke is frustrating as hell.
