Can only be a good thing if he's enjoying life and playing well. He's contracted to us until June '26 so the better he gets on over there the more likely we are to be able to shift him and actually recoup what he's worth on the books this summer. Straight line amortisation would mean he's still got a value/cost of £6m on the books. Will we get that for him?

The GB Pound is still a truly global currency , actually.
Try buying something in Tristan Da Cunha or the South Sandwich Islands with anything else . Those 100 Dollar bills and/or 500 Euro notes will be useless if you ever find yourself in those far-flung parts of the world.

Agree - if he starts puberty in the next few years you might really see this player develop into men’s football.
Given he’s now a full Spanish international, a team who just beat us in the Euros Final months ago. The continued jibes are a poor joke, more focus should be on why we couldn’t develop a clearly hugely talented young player, IMO.
He’s technically miles ahead of many of our squad, yet we couldn’t get him an English loan, or make him understand why hardening up by having an English loan would see him prosper here.

It does make me wonder why so many players leave, and seem to be getting rave reviews elsewhere... Even Joe Rodon is doing incredibly well at Leeds, and Japhet Tanganga at Millwall!

Conte was a huge failing here, he played really well in a couple of cameos, Conte compared him to Bernardo (or David) Silva, then dropped him from the picture…
It is certainly us (at least now we seem to be getting loans better sorted the last 2 seasons). He was homesick but again how much of that would have dissipated with the right environment here (mental support and pathway/development support).
Didn't Poch compare Marcus Edwards to Messi??

I get that there will be hits and misses with any signings, but for every N'Dombele (who we persevered with and continued to pay his wages) there's a Gil or Edwards...
