Ex-Spurs Player Carlos Vinicius

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

We need a striker not as a back up but for when not if Kane is out injured or cannot play because of fixture congestion which may happen again if the Government suspend the season. We need someone who is fit to play immediately and not need to get fit or over a minor injury.
Without wanting to be too pesimistic it would not come as too much of a surprise to see Kane come back from international duty injured and not be able to play for a while.

If he’s coming in for the money quoted that’s a great deal for us. Got to wonder how Mendes is going to fuck over in return in the future though. No way he does us this many deals without wanting something back at some stage.

I am sure Mourinho knows few things about football and the players so I trust his judgement....please watch this on buying Drogba

black echo Thanks for posting. Great find.

I love the clip of Mourinho saying "Mr Abramovich, don't speak. Pay!" when he suggested the little known Drogba as his number one striker target. Fantastic stuff.

I've no idea if Carlos Vinicius will be a success or a flop in the EPL. From the clips though, and comments from our members who've watched him in Portugal, it's clear CV is more of a physical, aggressive, Drogba type of CF than a silky smooth Berbatov type.

It's clear Mourinho wanted CV, so he will get game time and opportunities. And at the very least I hope CV can be a disruptive presence up front, leading the press, and helping to win the ball high up the pitch. As well as helping us defend aerially from opposing set pieces.

And if Carlos Vinicius becomes even 75% of the player Drogba was, then he'll be a valuable addition to the squad.

Yes, except Mourinho & Mendes go back to the very beginning. Mendes would not be a super agent without Mourinho. All the Portuguese players who were transferred to chavski in Mourinho's first spell there were Mendes players.

Coach Nuno at Wolves has to pretty much do what Mendes wants. Whereas, I get the strong sense that Mourinho can insist Mendes makes deals happen, with the important caveat that they have to be do-able.

For instance, earlier in the window, we had ITK that we wanted Ruben Dias, a Mendes player, but we needed a clear run because Dias was the number one CB target of a richer club than us. Well, it seems pretty clear now that the richer club was Shitty, and once they got involved Spurs could not compete financially. Mendes then got top dollar from Shitty for Benfica.

However, with nobody richer than us in for Carlos Vinicius, and the player allegedly Mourinho's top target, the deal happens and there are suggestions the loan fee is tiny.

Same with Doherty. Whatever we think of the player, I'm certain we had the inside track through Mendes all the time on other clubs (allegedly Woolwich) who wanted him. Levy could rest secure in the knowledge that if a Mendes deal with Wolves was agreed, the player would be delivered to us.

I don't much like this level of involvement from agents. But it is the reality of the modern game.
