Being honest about last night; it was a trademark Ange performance that we have all got used to.
If Chelsea were any good they would have been 2-0 up at half time.
They should have scored inside the first minute which is a further hallmark of an Ange performance.
Spurs are just too open and too easy to play against under Ange.
Then there was the set piece bed wetting; panic stricken huddles that the ref took it upon himself to aggravate.
Vicario's first half performance should be investigated for match fixing. He was desperate to commit an 'error'.
Maybe Paratici had Chelsea down to score first in his acca?
Romero was also busy being the twat Conte complained about who plays for himself; pushing, shoving and generally handbagging at every opportunity. To be fair Romero was OK over the 90 but I suspect his Argentine mate playing against him may have been the main motivating factor for his improved form.
Romero leads me into a further issue which needs resolving; the so called 'leadership group'.
Some of the worst performances last night came from Vicario, Son and Maddison. None of these players, including Romero, has set a consistent good example, level of performance or shown leadership throughout the season.
Son in particular is a shadow.
The leadership group policy needs to be axed.
Bill Nicholson and Keith Burkinshaw had one captain. The captain had meetings with the management and coaches and was seen as an extension of the manager on the pitch. A bridge between the manager and the players. A leader.
This team are a shambles with too many cooks spoiling the broth.
It's amateur shite and lacks credibility.
It is looking more and more as though Ange was picked for his Austral Asian credentials, and the marketing opportunities this could lead to, rather than his footballing acumen.
Son is the club captain to attract and placate the tourists who visit the Levydome to worship their idol rather than to lead the team on the pitch verbally or by example.
I suspect the leadership group was an idea presented to a weak management team that had identified the fact that Son was not an appropriate pick as captain. A compromise solution that works for nobody.
Who may have been responsible for coming up with a crap idea like that I wonder?
The weakness we are witnessing is the culmination of a perfect shitstorm from the top down.
A man who cannot be replaced, by the supporters or the board, who has got used to running an autocracy and resents being told he is wrong.
Time is up.
He's had a good run.
