First of all youre new. Dont tell me me im in for a long time when im in it since 86.

A foul and a disallowed hit and hope strike isnt fight and intensity. You clearly never played competitive sport if you thought last night was a team fully at it. Get a grip
At no point did I say they were fully at it - doesn't matter if I'm new here.

I just said at times they showed it - if you don't think so up to you mah dude.

It's funny because he's actually coached us so strictly on our structure and build up that we have become 100% predictable and every opposition manager knows exactly how to box us in and force turnovers every game.

We go into blind alleys down the wings to our wingers multiple times every game hoping for the first time flick inside, if it doesn't work then they have the ball going straight at our defence.

We let our full backs pick up the ball in a position where everybody in front of them is man marked because the opposition know exactly where they are looking next and what directions our midfield and forwards are going to move into.

We never progress the ball through the middle because our central midfielders are always 2v1 against us, so they're just there as a distraction more or less, so the opposition know the ball is going out wide, because it does every time.

Literally the only way we can progress the ball in a way that isn't 100% predictable, is for Romero to dawdle on it long enough to find a line-breaking pass to an advanced midfielder who is roaming.

But yeah, instead of seeing that this single-use every time tactic is completely overused and dead, we continue to try and play it. Figuratively bashing our head against the brick wall over and over until everybody has a mad fucking headache.
This.
Good post.

A sad state of affairs that when I woke up this morning, all I felt was resignation and a little relief that it was only 1-0. This is against one of our bitter rivals, only second to that lot down the road.
What a terrible indictment of our current situation. Bottom line, it's yet another loss and we're still in the bottom half of the table.
I just have to accept nothing is going to change until we're out of EL / end of season.

I don't get emotional any more, win or lose.

My heart doesn't beat any faster when we score, and my cat now sits next to me when we concede.

Me and my brother have had a season ticket for almost forty years. I have seen a mixture of teams built over that period, some good, some indifferent and some poor. But as far as I can remember those teams all competed. I haven't seen that the past eighteen odd months.

This will likely be the last, i just can't justify paying the money that i do, that could be better spent elsewhere such as a two week holiday in the Mediterranean.

The managers press conference before the games (and now after) are now like a coffee morning jolly, post match today he said the fans were not getting to him, yet spent eight of the opening twenty one minutes of the news conference talking about it.

That doesn't sound like a man that isn't worried does it?

There was no excuse for that performance last night, I can take a defeat especially at Stamford Bridge given our history, but I've had enough of the chest pumping by players before the game and the pitiful efforts on it.

I get that completely, I'm just not ready to give up yet..... It's the hope that kills you :(

They even did the huddle start of 2nd half then continued to be as slow and uninterested as the first. Then went a goal behind.

We offer absolutely nothing. This is just pathetic now. Sack that fucking fraud tonight and out a cabbage in charge. It amounts to the same. What a total waste of everyone's time Tottenham are right now.
Pre match ‘we’ll give it a crack and see what happens’.
Absolute piss take! You wouldn’t even pokyfills for the crack we gave it.

Werner would have got it over the bar from there.
Well the Werner experiment is well and truly over now. Not sure if his injured but can’t even make the bench. Didn’t hear his name mentioned on players who were unavailable. Whoever agreed to have him back and pay him a whopping £165K / wk should be sacked. Also those who said he’d be a good squad option need to look at themselves. All his done is take a squad space we could have used from the academy or buy another player with potential.

Why another player with potential? We should be going for the finished article

Our core tactics are flawed, particularly when it comes to stretching the opponent. Effective position rotation is crucial for creating scoring chances, but it's not happening. When we pass to Son or Johnson, it often fizzles out. A classic example is when Destiny passes to Son, who then cuts inside and draws a defender, only to pass back to Destiny. Meanwhile, Son makes a run, but no one took that option, and the ball goes back to Bentacur. By then, Son is in the box, no one is sticking at the wing to stretch the opponent.

We've seen Villa, City, Chelsea, and even Fulham exploit us with similar tactics. I'm not impressed with Mason's methods, and Poch's appointment isn't going to make a difference.

We can't attack or defend that's how bad it is

I meant if we weren’t gonna spend big hence gerri g turbo on loan then as an alternative just invest in and develop one of our own or go get a champo player we can develop. Obvs we needed ready made player but was never gonna happen as we signed up turbo straight after season ended and we got Wilson last day of transfer window. There was never any serious intent to get a ready made wide player.
