Completely correct. Lange panic buy. That laughable shit about him being our main target reallly boils my piss. For those of us who know, Dom was West Ham bound and we were not talking to him at all when he was talking to them.
£65M last day of window. Seriously if he was our main target we would have got it done at least a few earlier. Forget the BS about the selling club if we stumped up the buy out they would have to sell. Pure BS on our side as well. Surely to spend that much money you’d want to get the player in early and bedded in pre season.

Genuine question: do we now think Lange is worse than Hitchens?

Even easier Spence clears the ball instead of fucking about then giving it to them on the edge of our box.
Yes he could have just kicked it forward. He has played well and I have been an advocate of his from the start. Showed great skill in the first to turn and wiggle through two chav players but then lost the ball. Something we are far too guilty of. However it just highlights Ange’s system it relies on moments like that to actually progress the ball forward. Like MADDs did a few weeks back think v AZ 2nd leg. Keep saying it but the whole system is just based on players providing moments. Hence we never dominate a game or pummel the the oppo pen area with chances and shots. We score more from transition moments rather than sustained attacking play.

Thinking back on the 50 odd minutes I could be fucked with off this game... was it the worst London derby in PL history?

Definitely the worst Spurs v Chelsea game I can remember. 2 of the shittest teams either club has had for a while

Were we better with PEH, Dier, Lo Celso et al?
Lo Celso barely played so not sure that makes a difference. Eric would only make sense if Ange changed his approach, which is never happening, so that wouldn't work any better now than it did last season.
PEH was even worse receiving the ball from the goalie than the options we have now, but he might actually help with the forward pressing. He would have to play further up the pitch than he has done in the past for us though, so most likely that wouldn't happen either.

If by worst, you mean as a Tottenham fan…. Well, discounting the Tore Andre Flo 6-1, the 5-1 semi final defeat where the ref gave them a goal he shouldn’t have…

I hope the regression this season is because of Postecoglou and not because we've got downgraded players. Will a new manager be able to get us up near top 4 with these players?

Well I hope the poor form this season is all because of Postecoglou, and we haven't downgraded the team. Because I'm not sure a new manager is going to turn things around with this group of players.

We upgraded in quality IMO but lost a lot of experience, consistency and discipline.

We were all bored of watching PEH pass backwards and sideways because he couldn't play on the half turn. We were all bored of watching Dier back peddle as an attacker dribbled at him then created a goal...But but they were both grown men who knew what the Premier League was all about and they had professional discipline and habits that produced consistent levels to perform in a top 8 PL team.

These young bucks we've added are not there yet for the consistency but when they get it, they can be much better players. IMO, and I get that we look a million miles off atm , we will be better next season just because of the year of experience these guys will have added to their careers and the extra year of habits off the pitch they will have built. Also another year of work in the gym getting stronger and more explosive. it all adds up.

The big issue we have is the decline of Son IMO. We don't have a single elite level attacking player right now. We used to have 2, now Son has declined to a player who can't be elite every week and the rest of the wide forwards are children. Kulusevski is a #10 who can play wide imo.
