It's not just him though. No son, no dele, no lucas. Those are our top 4 scorers this season. Any team would struggle missing their top 4 scorers, it's just unfortunate that it happened at this stage of the season, and not when there were just league matches and international breaks. Imagine Chelsea without hazard, Willian, Pedro and giroud available, with maybe just Pedro on the bench. The luck didn't fall our way

There should be a word for that... "Tottenhamy".. or "White Hart Laney" or something ....:wall:

I just don't understand how losing Dele, Kane and Son means that the team collectively forgets how to pass a ball between them...... Or forgets how to defend?

Right..... This is going to be a great half..... I'm basing that on that it's not possible for it to be as bad as the first half for us.....

We're going to score and then it's Penalties...... Llorente to take the first one.......

:pochshock:

Yes, poor first half. We are still only one goal down. Don't know how but Poch has got to shake things up. The only sub we can make in an attacking position is Moura. Get him on for Llorente and try at minimum to win this half 1- 0. Pens if necessary. COYS.

The Toby-Jan-Dier trio was once a Bermuda triangle in which opposing attacks disappeared.

That feels an eternity away after that half, yikes.

Jan and Toby are at best half the players they were 2 seasons ago. Dier lucky if he is as good as half the player he was.

I would take the club going into big debt if it meant we could get De Ligt. Sadly our scounts made a supreme fuck up of that.

One more injury to a key player and we might as well just forget about this season.

Their passing and pressing is several levels above us. When we press them they just pass it around us with ease, when they press we panic and go backwards. And without Kane and Son up front we have very little in the way of long ball counter chances. This just looks beyond us right now.
Same as the last game

Yet the goons walked through their press

Don't worry lads, once the stadium is ready we will be so rich we are going to win the deloite money league and buy all the best players in the world.

We only have to wait for a decade until the stadium is ready.

Alan Smith saying you don't usually see Spurs play like this. Anyone would think we were without our top 4 scorers in the starting line up this evening. Wankers the lot of them who honestly think it wasn't going to be backs against the wall in this game.

What I will say is if Lucas is able to come on he simply has to. Llorente and Lamela hugely disappointing so far but there's another half to play and regardless of what anyone says we are still in this. It ain't over until it's over

Bad half of football from us. We're getting done on the counter every time and our passing has been slow and below par.

Maybe a change of shape and get Lucas on. Llorente has offered nothing.

It's funny... a couple of weeks ago, Poch mentioned about us not being NICE... and using tricky tactics to win a game...

Well, playing Gazziniga (REGARDLESS of how well he's pplayed) in place of FIRST CHOICE Lloris, smacks of sentiment, and a nice gesture....

But he's NOT our number 1... he's reserve... so to further hamper our FIRST TEAM by playing a reserve in goal is summit a sentimental old romantic does, rather than someone who wants to win a Cup tie at ANY COST!

Kane, Dele, Son... Lloris... we don't need any more first team players missing!
