Match Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur (A) Sat., 22.2.2020 (12:30)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Against big teams away Poch has an absolute SHIT record.

Since he took over in 2014, he has won just three of 27 matches against Manchester City, Manchester United, Liverpool, Woolwich and Chelsea

I'm guessing he should of been sacked as soon as he arrived then?

:pochcry:
Win a game = Jose is the man we've got a real winner here!

Lose a game= Dinosaur, old man get him out my club.

Amazing how fucking stupid and reactive some of the users are on here.

It’s somewhere in between. Pochettino presided over an awful run of form that lasted nearly 9 months and 30 odd games. There can be no complaints about his sacking.

Results have improved significantly under Mourinho. When we won at Villa last Sunday, the Star been bandied about was in the 14 league games Mourinho was in charge, only Liverpool had amassed more league points.

The reruns against big names have been disappointing though. Defeats home and away to Chavs, loss at Old Trafford, home to Liverpool and even Leipzig other night. That was one area, we hoped Mourinho would improve on what was a black mark against Pochettino over his 5 and a half her tenure.

The team is very unbalanced and until Mourinho gets the chance this summer to plug some of the problem areas, can’t really judge him properly. The passiveness of the performances against the bigger names has been very disappointing though.

Didn't get a chance to watch it yet, but I am curious.

With Ndombele in did we all of the sudden play with some cajones or did we still lump it past midfield when the press was on?

Firstly dont watch. It's very depressing.

The issue with dembele was that we played a 451 with a really low block and no out ball. Chelsea flooded the midfield and both him and winks struggled to get any sort of move going during to Chelsea's press and out shape.

He was poor but so was the whole team. I blame Mourinhos tactics others say the players were shit.

Either way dont watch.

I liked the team selected today. On paper it looked great. Something didn't translate onto the pitch or the players were asked to do things they are not suited to IMO.

I thought, to the point he went off, Ndombele had played as well, or better, or looked more likely to play an incisive pass than any of our other players.
:kanehand:
Can you give me your stream 'cos mine had him out of position and constantly giving the ball away. Bullied out of possession and not making a single tackle that I can remember.

Game of opinions but I thought he was lucky not to get hooked after 20 mins.

Basically the full backs decided to play as full backs.

So we had 5 in defence and 3 in midfield.

1 of which is winks, and the other is an unfit ndombele. Which is basically 1 in midfield

Luca and Bergwijn didnt combine

We missed aurier, we missed Alli for his link up. But we would have been shite regardless. Cos we are shite.

Who was any better? LoCelso ? Winks? Moura? Bergwijn? By half time Lo Celso had seen the ball a third of what Ndombele had.

So yeah, opinions and all that...

Ndombele was embarrassing. Didn't press, left his man to run past him like 10 times in the first 20 minutes and allowed Chelsea to play hand ball and just shoot at will in midfield.

Winks and Moura were horrific too but it really doesn't change anything.

I could understand Parrot not getting a look in over Son, who's an actual "forward" for want of a better word. but Lucas was fairly one dimensional today.

This is a forum, people rant and rave and let shit get off their chest. It’s half the point of it.

And modern football is all about top 4 trophy which we will now have a very hard time getting.

Why rant and rave about losing a game where we weren't favourites? I get ranting about losing to Newcastle at home, but against Chelsea away, a game where we have 1 won on what 30 years? Rant and rave all people want, it's their right to but if I think it's uncalled for I'll say because, as you said this is a forum and everyone has the right to say what they think and who they reply to pal.

No strikers, shit out of luck I just don't see how people can be vexed. Circumstances have left a mountain to climb but of course, anyone and everyone can get things off their chest, I'll just call it unnecessary when I see it as unnecessary, that's all.

Because no one like to lose to Chelsea and a pretty average Chelsea at that, we may not have been favourites but we where not really outsiders either and the performance was pretty shit.

I think what is pissing many people off is the insipid nature of our performance against London rivals. We were always going to find it difficult with so many personnel out but I thought the performance was gutless until the last 20 mins when we started to play a bit.

Against quite an average side, I might add. If we'd have put that performance in against Chelsea of say 2016-18 we would have been dissected.

Why don’t you read the whole conversation. All I was doing was refuting the notion that our midfield was better with Sissoko in it.It wasn’t. Not under Pochettino orMourinho.

And taking Ndombele off, just at the time we were starting to actually have more of the ball in their half, and leave 4 CB’s on, was fucking stupid. Whatever his weaknesses are, he’s one of the few players we have capable of playing an intelligent pass and Chelsea have been vulnerable all season, especially at home. Lo Celso Gad been worse than Ndombele at that point as well. Though I’d have left him on for the same reason.
Agree, very strange sub.
