Ex-Spurs Player Christian Eriksen

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Both deliberately running their contracts down costing us a fortune in lost transfer fees.
Both turned down transfers prior to the expiration of their contracts.
At least cuntballs played to his best ability until the very end.
One went to Woolwich, the other will be going to stoke or some other club of a similar status.

As an individual, Eriksen has the same rights and obligations as Gary at Homebase. He's entitled to his rights as an employer to honor his contract and nothing else beyond.

We don't go round offering 150k salaries to player's in their late 30's out of some deranged sense of loyalty? The whole point of a 'contract' is that it runs out and offers BOTH party's an exit.

I didn't say he has or hasn't got any rights.

I said he's not doing anything different to cuntballs. He's screwing us for his own gain.

Almost guaranteed he'll sign a pre contract with Juve in January.

Unless Madrid come in for him, he'll just refuse. It's bullshit that players won't resign and won't be sold either. Madness.

No it's not. Freedom of trade.

It's the fcuking lack of care about his performance that is the shocker.

Had he even been 80% of what he had been peviously Eriksen would be lauded and cheered upon his exit.

As things stand he will leave with reputation seriously tarnished.

And it won't reflect his time with us but will be as a result of his actions.

Contrast the response Ramsey would get on any playing return to what Eriksen will receive if it were to happen.

Not really, that’s what an elite player would expect to earn at a consistent CL club. He can earn a similar salary at a mega club which is the next step in his career plan.

I hope we can shift him in January even if it’s for £10m, he’s taking up a place on the bench that should be given to someone else.

I agree that's what an elite player would expect to earn nowadays... perhaps even beyond that. The thing is Eriksen hasn't been performing like an elite player for quite some time and we also still have a rather tight wage structure.

So in the light of this, it would make zero sense for us to reward him with a wage increase in the hope that he might rediscover some of his lost form. I don't believe the report anyway.

As for him leaving in January... one can only hope.

Mate he's been playing for us on like 30 percent of market wage for 5 years. We have saved like 50 million by having him on a pittance compared to players like Pogba, Özil etc.

We need to stop blaming Toby and Eriksen for this - it is 100 percent the clubs fault for not renewing their contracts on higher wages on time.

Rubbish... We've been trying to bump their wages and extend their deals for years now.

You've had this pointed out to you on multitude of occasions before.

He's on 75k because he's consistently refused contract offers, or do you think he warrants being paid more than Kane? because he's also not on anything near what Pogba and Ozil are on. Go ask any Woolwich fan and see if they would rather Ozil on 350k a week or that money being invested elsewhere.

I never said they were value for money. Just pointing out fact.

Our very strict wage structure caused this situation, not the players. Hence why it's an issue with multiple players.

Just hope he leaves in January, getting sick of the sight of him now and he's taking up a place on the bench over someone else.

Well he did bugger all yesterday when he came on. I just can’t make my mind up whether he is not trying or just no longer good enough- maybe a bit of both. Either way I don’t want to see him wearing the shirt ever again. Can’t believe he was brought on instead of Lo Celso

What was one of the team's greatest assets is now becoming an embarrassing liability. Such a shame his time at the club will probably be more remembered for his performances since all this contract dispute rather than before then.
Hope he goes January and this thread quietly sinks below the waves.

I think the bigger crime is not giving up the ghost and showing a little faith in the guy that was brought in to replace him.....

I'd understand clinging to the past if CE was performing, but this really ought to be an easy sacrifice to make.

I tell ya what..... If GLC is not playing regularly by the summer I'll be fuming if we opt to sign him anyway.

Well that's what happens when HE refuses to sign a new deal. Again, the EXACT same thing Cuntballs did.

What can't people see here? Both players refused to leave for fees, both players refused lucrative contract offers, both players ultimately will leave for nothing leaving us struggling to replace them.
