BUT… the most amazing and driven professional to come back from death’s door to compete again at the highest level. I will always worry for his well being after his brush with death, but extremely happy for him this evening. Well done Maestro.

Sometimes, self belief can be harmful.

It would be such a romantic return in so many ways.
However, I’d hate him to overdo it and end up poorly again or worse just for the romance of it all.

His heart issue was one of those unexplainable ones where it just suddenly stopped. Something something electroshmununums.
With his pacemaker, I believe that risk has been removed, so there's no reason really that he can't continue, that I know of.
Not being a heart specialist though, I could be underplaying it

Time heals, but not everyone was entirely happy with the way things ended here; nor with the way he spoke rather saltily about us shortly after his departure.

I'm happy that he survived and recovered to be able to play again, and I admire him for making a comeback, it must have taken courage and self belief to regain his fitness. However, he didn't exactly leave us under the best circumstances, so that left a sour after-taste.
I wish him well, but won't be hankering for him to return. Same as Bale and Poch (although I still love Poch).
We need to move on, and leave the past behind. Just saying how I feel.

I too wasn't happy at the way things ended.
In terms of pure 'feel good' though, I would be happy if he re-joined us. But I fully understand, and in many ways agree with 'leaving the past behind'
(except Bale though - he can come to spurs whenever he likes as far as I'm concerned....coz he's my boi innit!)
