Ex-Spurs Player Christian Eriksen

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I can see English really isn't your first language. A shame that it's taken four seperate posts but I'll explain it in simpler terms just for you - He feels he is better than he actually he is. Now that's not to say he hasn't got ability because he has. He feels he has the ability to pull the strings, play a pass that no one else but Messi can and do flicks like Ronaldinho, neither which he can do because he doesn't possess their ability. It's frustrating, if Eriksen just played simple football, stopped being a pussy and ducking out of challenges, he'd be some player. Don't think he'll ever get to that 'some player' stage, but hey I'm here if he can prove me wrong. Like someones mentioned before, he's 23 and he has years to come in his career, just hope he can also sort out his diabolical set pieces that aren't his 1 in 10 that he scores.

Have you ever played football and you've tried to play a pass you know you can't do but you try it anyway? Or perhaps you try a volley from 20 yards even though you haven't got the technique? Yeah. That's that.

What an absolute load of biased, undocumented and offensive nonsense. You honestly don't deserve any more of an answer than that.

A very good analysis of what goes on in the head of Eriksen, thank you very much! I see your point, Eriksen should not attempt to play difficult passes to create chances/goals, but should just keep it simple. He's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't
Once again, when did I say he shouldn't attempt any difficult pass? Choose to read only the words you see. I'm not sure if anyone can have a logical conversation regarding Eriksen with you. Especially considering you would prefer he moved on in the summer if he isn't played centrally where he rarely plays well for us.

dude...

You quoted some tweet about Eriksen, saying he thought he was a better dribbler than his fifa stats said, and concluded that his problem was that he thinks too highly of himself
I think he has the mindset of one who feels he is better than what he actually is. Whether that's a bad thing or not, that's for you to decide.

You actually DID deserve an answer Totti Totti
1) "He feels he is better than he actually he is" (Oh gee, good thing you slated my English:kaneear:)
- How would you know?
2) "He feels he has the ability to pull the strings"
- How would you know?
3) "- II - play a pass that no one but Messi can"
- How would you know? And can you show me some examples of said passes?
4) "(...) can and do flicks like Ronaldinho"
- How would you know? And can you show me some examples of said "flicks"
5) "if Eriksen just played simple football, stopped being a pussy and ducking out of challenges, he'd be some player"
- How would you know? And, so you're saying, if a creative, offensive player started playing "simple football" - that'd be the shit? Oh silly goose
6) "diabolical set pieces"
- :levylol:
7) "Have you ever played football"
- No, never, ah-ah, no way.

1. The way he plays.
2. The way he plays.
3. Three in the first half against Everton, One today against Sunderland on the stroke of half time. Numerous against Newcastle - those spring to mind because of how ludicrous the attempts were at a time, considering the scoreline.
4. I'll be sure to rewatch every single match this season and point out the minutes in which they had happened.
5. As in play the ball to a player in white? Yes.
6. I bet Levy wished he'd beat the first man more often too.
7. Not surprised.

You must have special powers, cause it is damn impressive to analyze one's mental situation by looking at him playing football. Oh my, you have up to three bad passes (that is SEVERAL) per match from an offensive player? Didn't think you would be able to mention any Ronaldinho-flicks.. Guess I have some of those divine powers, too. About the 'diabolical' set pieces, don't be afraid to mention some examples from today.. And don't forget to mention we're 4th in goals from set pieces. And don't forget to mention how many he's scored (and assisted) from set pieces for us.

But hey, instead of divine, mental powers, how about some stats? He loses possession less than Kane. He loses possession because of 'bad touches' less than Kane. His pass completion % is 81. He has 3 key passes every game. That's the 4th highest in the league. You know; high risk, high reward. On stats, he's rated 13th best player in the league.

Don't let all this get in the way of your pathetic agenda, cause, you know, "you can see it" in him that he's shit and values himself higher than what he deserves. Cause that's like totally the attitude he carries himself around with generally, as all Danes do. Right?

Edit: And another fun fact: He has almost double the passes Kane does. They have approximately the same number of inaccurate passes.
Fun fact no. 2: He's dispossessed less, and has less unsuccessful touches than Özil.
Could you PLEASE listen to what I've said before, and what The Dane The Dane said today, that you make crazy conclusions based on single situations you see in-game?

This, and many other passes that Eriksen has pulled off this season have been absolutely outrageous. Anyone slating his ability can do one.

:vdvshh:

EDIT: just wanted to add, he played the pass with his left foot after letting the ball roll across him to stop the defender blocking it off... magic.

What has Kane got to do with anything?

Thought it was asking a lot of Kane if I am honest and over hit the ball. If the keeper wasn't half asleep he would have got to the ball a lot sooner. If the pass was played a little lighter, he'd have got an assist to his name. Eriksen scored from the end of it though, so it was nice for him.

Example given. Özil as well. Players who are highly rated and gets barely no critique from anyone. Because they have fucking good ability, and take a lot of chances because of that ability, why people accept that they make mistakes.

Like, uhm, Eriksen perhaps?
I don't think we should be comparing Eriksen to Ozil - I seem to remember Ozil getting alot of abuse in his first season at Woolwich due to his lack of 'big game' mentality, lack of goals for the amount of money he cost etc - I guess he worked hard.

No, let's not showcase that Eriksen is dispossessed less than our biggest rivals' best player in the same position, when people slate Eriksen for being dispossessed :levystare:

Totti you seem to be wasting time here trying to get a simple point across. Ericksen can definatily try simpler passes bc he causes too many turn overs taking a lot of collective running back and forth. But some of characters here like Danoir is going to act like as if blind and deny the obvious

Haha I'm sorry that I offended you by displaying that you only talk about Son:sonlol:
I think it's quite obvious I've been critical of Eriksen myself of late, but when people speak nonsense I react. Preferably with facts. Which I did. So "blind" is probably a bad choice of word, honeybear.
