Ex-Spurs Player Christian Eriksen

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Why is it eriksen never has the ball for very long? It looks like he tip toes all through the game, and when he get the ball he immediately passes it again. He needs to be more direct and challenge. He seems to me to be a player that acts like a wall so the ball can bounce on to.
so you think moving the ball on quickly is a bad thing?

All agreed but prefer someone else taking the corners.

Not just the delivery but want to see Christian lurking outside the box rather than stuck down by the corner flag

It's about consistency of delivery. Eriksen can put the ball on a pin anywhere he wants it. So, he gets corner duty as he can play the ball required for any given routine.

I'm not having a go at Christian here but most corners he takes are crap and I prefer Lamela's

Free kicks are another matter though

We complain because he hits the first man, but I think that's because that's actually the intention. If the first man misses that corner, then it's pretty easy for Toby or someone else to drive that into the net before anyone can react. It's a high risk/reward strategy, but we have scored more corners than anyone else in the league this year...

3.5% of corners result in a goal!!!! They are utterly pointless things. Add to that figure there is also nearly a 0.5% chance of actually conceding a goal they really are the shitest thing in football.

What an amazing stat. Ive always wondered why I could always win a header on corners defending but but could never when attacking?
Tend to agree, although we all cant help getting excited when we win a corner. For some reason we all believe something gonna come of it.

Ah-haaaa, but there should be two graphs; one for inswinging, and another for outswinging surely??

If we're on the subjuct of shitest things in football, then a throw in for us from anywhere along from the corner-penalty box always results in the opposition getting the first header... you watch... i'd rather hand it to them and save ourselves the bother!
