Match Colchester United v Tottenham Hotspur (24-09-19) (7.45pm)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Wonder if we are going to see something like this ? With Dier/Wanyama as twin DM's in front of 2 CB's (ie very much safety first) - but I'd guess there will be changes in 2nd half to add a more attacking player in place of a DM if everything goes to plan. Skiip can play a bit as well as being a DM so I'd guess his creative midfield skills will be more used tonight rather than his defensive skills.

Gazzaniga
KWP Sanchez Tanganga Davies
Dier, Wanyama
Skipp
Moura Parrott Dele

Subs : Lloris, Foyth, Vertonghen, Sissoko, Eriksen, Lamela, Son

Fucking yes Poch!

Exactly what I wanted to see.

Stop moaning about 3 DM's. Against a side like Colchester, those 3 have more than enough passing skills for it to work.

Just the remedy we needed, that.

Excited.
And what remedy could possibly be gained from this game Dem?

I ain’t having a go but win or lose I doubt Colchester will be the turning point in our season.

A resounding 4-0 win against palace didn’t even stop the negativity.

EDIT ignore me just saw your post that it’s the youth your talking about remedying is, fair enough.

More than anything I'd just like to have seen him start Ndombele.... Even if he subbed him off for Vic later.

Boy needs to find his mojo....

Wanyama plays - "Should be Ndombele!"
Ndombele plays - "Should be Sissoko!"

and on and on and on

It's like Charlize Theron turning up in silk lingerie on your doorstep and you greeting her with "What, wasn't Scarlett Johannsen free tonight?"

Just not keen on the idea of playing a weak team merely for the sake of rotation when there's ground work to be done towards the first XI....

A bit more quality would help the young'ns a lot too.

Strange midfield line up. Great to see Skipp but Wanyama and Dier together has never been a good thing.

My Guess is this is going to be the diamond with Dier at the base, Alli at the tip with Skipp and Wanyama as the lateral 8's. Please god not Dier as an 8.

Great to see Parrott.
