I agree for sure. I just know it would be our luck that at the start of the season we were saying "our best route to UCL is to win Europa" and then the dippers go and finish 9th in the league and win the EL, thus securing UCL. :avbfacepalm:

No European football, LOL. Mind you thats how they lined up the season they nearly won the league.

I would have said they would have been our biggest competition for quality transfers this summer, but can't see that happening now
 
Pleased with the result. Liverpool finished eighth this season, which is about their level. Would have been very annoying had they got in the CL via the back door as they like to waste huge sums of money on players linked with other clubs. We have a distinct advantage now being able to offer CL football, as well as everything else, while they can't offer anything much. All Liverpool have is Klopp who although I think is decent, is still an unproven manager in England right now. Basically Liverpool have to scrape around for signings along with the likes of Man Utd and West Ham. Nice.

I think they really need some key signings. I think Klopp is as good as Poch. But I don't think he's at a club that can help him further his skill. I think this summer will be a major test for Liverpool.
