Salah has been shit and part of the problem. Sacrafice salah? Got his big contract and started turning in shit performances. Deserved to be dropped and throwing the team under the bus for a so called leader
Yeah because he was on peanuts before šŸ™„

If it was purely about the money he’d be in Saudi already, he’s turned them down 3 consecutive summers.

Slot’s handled it abysmally. Van Dijk, Gravenberch and Gakpo are his three untouchables- all Dutch.

Massive contract didnt have to uproot everything big star at the club.
How is dropping an under performing player handling it abysmally?
Says he shouldnt have to earn his placešŸ˜…

Because there’s several others who should also be dropped - what’s not clicking?

Van Dijk, Konate, Gravenberch, Gakpo. Salah is being scapegoated by Slot.

Not like Liverpool have been any better for it.

Whats not clicking with you? Who else will they play centre half or midfield?? They have multiple options upfront to rotate and try not in other positions though.
if thats salahs attitude in the open its poisonous behind tge scenes

Wirtz… who has done Zilch

Isak… first goal the other day

Gakpo 7GA as Slot’s Mr undroppable

Etikite went on a drought recently too

Chiesa barely gets used

If the squad is thin in midfield and defence after a Ā£400mil summer splurge, shouldn’t Slot shoulder some responsibility for that?

The title win went to his head (when truthfully he was riding the coattails of Klopp’s legacy) and now he’s knee deep when asked to shape the squad in his image.

Weren’t that long ago that I remember the current premier league champions breaking the British transfer record twice in one window and worrying they were going to dominate for years to come! :frankreally:

He is shaping it. Salahs been shit recently so hes dropped. As has wirtz and isak. Do you rbuild around new young signings or ageing under performing ones.
Every manager has their favourites and they live and die by them.
Anyway fuck them long may they continue To drop

What a fucking tosser crying to the papers. Pretty sure Klopp had trouble with him too. Too big for his boots.

On his team mates:

"I'm an experienced player, I've been in their position. I always support them, I always give them experience."

Whilst going to the press like a youth player would do.

Salah has always had limitations as a footballer. A brilliant footballer but if he doesn’t score or assist he doesn’t do much. That didnt matter as he scored regularly 30 goals or more but now he is in decline it’s simply not feasible to justify having him on the pitch making the structure weaker. Son understood his body was going and made the right call, Salah is in denial. He isn’t Kane, he can’t rely on his passing, movement or finishing, he’s need explosive pace and power and that is draining away. All explosive wingers go this way, why he thought he was different is anybodies guess.

Salah isn't part of the problem in truth. Did he play yesterday, for example? He obviously hasn't been as exceptional as he has in the past, but that had to occur at some point.

It's a drop in form, possibly, but absolutely a function of age.

Van Dijk hasn't been as good but is largely evading the criticism. The issue is always confidence, and that's regardless of whether there are too many injuries or whatever. Look at Villa at present.

A confident team overcomes anything and everything.

Last season, Liverpool weren't really as good as their title win suggested, and this season, they are being got at and not quite as good.

Out of form player gets benched and throws a tantrum!

What a prick!

I’d flog him to one of the oil doped Saudi clubs in January.

IMHO he showed his colours in the classless way he was angling for a new contract last season.

It's never the case TBH.

It's like that time they signed Robbie Keane from us. Ended up bringing in a player that they had no use for and sold him back to us for nearly half price in the next window, only to then spunk near £40m on Glenn Johnson and Aquilani, and going back to finishing outside of the top 5 for the next 4 seasons, despite having Suarez.

There's no succession plan for VVD or Salah, and they are going to end up like Man Utd if they just straight up swap their HG/club-trained players for the name flavour of the month from other leagues. Missing identity, no one really left to bleed for the badge.

What they should have done is sign worthy successors to the two a couple of seasons ago* and then let them leave in the summer, but the whole Slot tenure has stunk of poor management at the club (despite some utter melts on here wanking over them every other weekend) - they both whined about contract renewals all last season and they'll deflect their performances all this season and drag the whole team down with them.
The Ferguson of old would have fucked them off to the SPL by now. Not saying it's how you treat "legends", but it's how you avoid players in their 30s losing you the dressing room.

*Of course Klopp wasn't bothered about that. Same as Redknapp didn't bother about our squad succession when he was interviewing Rodgers for his England coaching team

Example no 374856 of why I don’t like Dutch (and Portuguese) managers.

In the context that Etikite aside, Slot’s big summer signings have been a by and large massive flops so far, Salah is right to feel aggrieved.

Several players at Liverpool have performed below the level (Virgil, Gapko) and still get picked no issue.

Don’t ever let your manager scapegoat you and not fight back, especially if you delivered a title for him and have been an exceptional performer for years.

I reckon LFC know that they’ve made some monumental mistakes (Wirtz, Isak) and now they need to sacrifice Salah to create the wiggle room to try and fix it.

You can say Salah’s ego is getting the better of him, but it’s that same insane self belief that made him the player he has been. It’s not like he told a lie about his accomplishments.

Wirtz will come good.

Wingers from the BL always take time to settle in the prem. Pretty much always bar maybe one or two exceptions.
