Staggering to me that Liverpool have gone for and already reached agreement with Iraola.

Huge faith in an unknown quantity at the point of highest demand. If they get it right fair play but huge risk.

The PL has never ever seen so much churn.

Iraola is a really fascinating appointment by Liverpool, it is a risk, but I commend them for taking it. The PL's most fascinating coach IMO, and my favourite coach to watch for "interest" (ie not all good but very interesting) right now. Incredibly idiosyncratic, chaos by design, but method in the chaos. With the way Liverpool's attack is loaded, his approach could pay out more than it costs, fascinating to see. I also think he evolved his methodology at Bournemouth and his tactics became more multi faceted. Interesting to see whether his methodology is comparable with two - high pressure - games a week or whether he requires more evolution, and if that evolution makes his approach less "interesting".

We should have taken the chance on him last summer I know that. He wasn’t always my number one Poch alternative.

One of the things I was hesitant about is the fact that his team get a lot of injuries, he's going to be going from managing 1 game a week to 2 games a week. I think he's gonna need a big squad or change the way he coaches because he makes his players run a lot which often leads to injuries.

Iraola is SUCH a good fit at Liverpool.

But not for the reasons you think...

Ever since Benitez left, they've needed to fill the void of Spaniard who looks like he has cream cheese stuck in his teeth when he speaks!

You may mock If you like, but it's a tactical masterstroke. It distracts the interviewers SO much they forget to listen to the answers/exvuses he's given them!

If you don't know what I mean... rewatch footage of either of them with the caveat in the back of your mind of: "imagine they've got a bit of cream cheese stuck in their teeth and have suddenly been asked to conduct an interview"!

It works every time!
