Having money does not buy instant success like it used too.

The talent pool of world class players isn't big enough to spread around the sugar daddy clubs as there are more of them.

Y'know, it's funny - there would be hilarity abound if United's glory hunting fanbase were to turn on them the longer they go without success (with the terrible football they've been playing, they must surely be feeling tempted already).

And yet... as a complete counter to that - the single 'downside' to Spurs winning the league this season would be the enormous influx of bandwagon fans we would have to endure.

So yeah. They can keep the plastic fans as long as they want for all I care. Same goes for Chelsea and Woolwich - at least if they stay within those fanbases then we know they're cunts.

The bandwagon fans, fair weather fans and random batches of under 10 years-old fans come with winning lots of trophies. Given our position in recent years of offering decent, entertaining sides but as of yet, no silverware (2008 league cup aside), our status as a sort of up-and-coming/quasi-resurgent team has made Spurs a sort of hipster choice team in recent years.

The fact is that if (and I do mean if) Spurs went on a silverware haul over a few years there will be new fans, fans from out the woodwork. Our fan base would be divided between perceived new and old Spurs and it would be really annoying. There was a comradeship that used to unite Spurs fans when we were really poor between 1996 and 2005. Sadly, as things have got better, that comradeship has receded significantly. I can only imagine that trend would continue the more successful we become. And if out form and league places fall south again? If we find ourselves watching Alan Sugar era football again then I imagine the fan base would initially be divided again, before uniting behind awful football and the dream of better days once again.

If we win the league then maybe we should make new members pay fifty dollars a month to subscribe to the forum.

Tampa style.

BT doing their usual and having a wank fest over Klopp..... I had a ickle bit of sick in my mouth after what they said.
P.S Owen saying Liverpool would be happy with a 0-0 how the mighty have fallen.

So David James said the best defensive team doesn't keep enough clean sheets.

In other news, Joey Essex has questioned the logic behind the theory of relativity.
