If a footballer is on bail/under investigation for a disgusting crime like rape, then he's not available for selection until the charges are settled one way or the other.

He’s very good at winning the ball back and can ping a pass but he’s not a DM and he’s not an AM, he’s a very good B2B CM but people make out like he’s as good as Bellingham when he’s not even close.

He's changed the balance of their team though to the extent where they were better with Partey holding and Xhaka playing box to box

Rice is very good all round player, but doesn't play either of those roles in the same way.

It's a classic case of fans not rating players who do the 'dirty' side of the game. He wins the ball back constantly, dominates midfielders, doesn't lose the ball ever. He's completely fucking different to Bellingham, he's defensive minded with some ball carrying ability.

There's a reason I was desperate for him to go to City - I knew he'd level that lot up from a defensive standpoint and make them a lot more solid and he has.

He's undroppable for club & country. There's a bloody reason for that.

Bentancur is twice the player Rice is. Rice is just English so overrated in England.
