Well, they lost the semifinals by the largest aggregate margin. So you could say they finished 4th.
And they do love a 4th Place Trophy.

LFC have just confirmed they will indeed bestow a guard of honour for the reigning EPL title holders, Woolwich.
Their manager, Snr Arteta, will also be knighted, by his majesty the King, for winning two titles in a row and for being the moral victors of the European Champions League.
Given the special nature of the victories - the respective football authorities have commissioned special trophies, with a miniature of Snr Arteta carved onto the trophies.
As a humble football fan, of a minor provincial football club, I am in awe of Woolwich and their achievements under Snr Arteta.
I marvel at their long throws, THREE MINUTES corner routines and all round shithousery!
Congratulations Woolwich and the illustrious Snr Arteta.
