we need Arteta to stay there long term. Theyve got a pretty good squad, all it needs is some classy manager to put an XI on the pitch with clear and coherent instrucitons and they really will start winning things and challenging for PL and CL

Yes but then it needs to be someone like a Conte or a Mourinho (Chelsea era) type of manager. The core of their team has tried and been close for several seasons. Often you only have 1 or 2 chances, and then its time for a rebuild, or get a proper winning manager inn.

If they sack Arteta, i can only see them appointing another "project" manager. And the mentality will probably not change because of that. I dont know. Maybe its just wishful thinking.
