It’s in the arse end of nowhere, it’s cold 9 months of the year and it loves to rain.

The people up there are great to be fair, I’m not knocking them, but geographically it’s pretty shit, although I’m a big fan of Bamburgh and the many castles they have up there.

So what I'm hearing that it's positively balmy for 3 months a year and our plants are well watered. :baletroll:

When you say geographically, I'm guessing you just mean it's far from London and whatnot? You're not casting aspersions on the topography?

It’s not really near anywhere except Sunderland and it’s not really a “destination” in its own right.

Someone mentioned Liverpool - that’s vastly better connected to places like Manchester, north Wales and the midlands.

Nothing against Newcastle, I’ve always liked it up there but I can see why a talented 20 year old millionaire might look at it and think fuck that

Yeah, that "fine" needs to be witholding full pay for me. If he's saying I'm not playing then £0 as far as I'm concerned.
