They are looking to sell wissa after 9 months . Good luck getting that 55 million back.
We’ll probably buy him. They are looking to sell wissa after 9 months . Good luck getting that 55 million back.

At least they have the sense to ditch players that don't come in and make an impact. If that was here he'd be here for 5 yearsThey are looking to sell wissa after 9 months . Good luck getting that 55 million back.
Everything the Saudi's touch turns into absolute shite. LIV golf, Neom - The Line lol, running out from that, half the world cup stadiums proposed aren't being built, giving up the Rugby World Cup.Surprised they're seemingly sticking with Howe. He's done a good job there but this season felt like the one where his tenure finally ran out of gas. Lots of mitigating circumstances with injuries and the Isak nonsense, but by my understanding Howe's had a lot of control and I wouldn't be at all surprised if a lot of last summer's transfer mess was of his making.
It's been widely reported that the Saudis are reeling in their big investments and it's clear Newcastle are nowhere near the top of their list of priorities; keeping Howe is a huge signal this is the case. A really ambitious club would be looking to bring in a top manager at this point after a terrible season and a bottom half finish, but keeping Howe suggests they'd rather just keep plodding along with someone safe rather that aiming higher.
Yeah you love to see it. Hopefully the Saudi league falls by the wayside soon too. The investment has already massively dropped off.Everything the Saudi's touch turns into absolute shite. This was utterly predictable. I love it.
Oh, it is over. I should've added that too.Yeah you love to see it. Hopefully the Saudi league falls by the wayside soon too. The investment has already massively dropped off.
‘Sports washing’ was a key strategy that was devised before the current POTUS took power.Yeah you love to see it. Hopefully the Saudi league falls by the wayside soon too. The investment has already massively dropped off.
I think it's more the fact they're having their own financial issues tbh. I don't think it's so much that they no longer want/need to wash their own image, it's that they overextended massively on fanciful projects with nowhere near enough of a tangible end-goal or return on investment.‘Sports washing’ was a key strategy that was devised before the current POTUS took power.
Now, when you have the leader of the free world hollering ‘Drill, baby drill!’, the need for the Saudis to ‘sports wash’ their image has evaporated. Why spend billions on risky, huge infrastructure projects when you don’t have to? And the Saudis’ traditional rival - Iran - has its own problems now.
So I agree - LIV, The Line, Saudi Pro League, Newcastle… all a bit unnecessary right now.

We've had more managers than home wins this season and have beaten Chelsea at Stamford Bridge once in the PL era.
