It's fucked.... What manager wouldn't face the same problems there? .....They've built a lazy, toxic culture and player power wins vs even the most disciplinarian manager(s) in the modern game (where you're creating fleets of instant 20 y/o millionaires).

It poses a broader question........

Bearing in mind you can't flush 20-odd players in one window and completely start fresh; how do you stop new signings and incoming youth players being 'infected'?

The crunch will come with Rashford. If he isn’t moved on this window, Amorim has to banish him from the first team. But then ratcliffe will want to know why they are paying someone £300k plus a week and he isn’t involved. I don’t know what will happen then but I suspect they won’t back the manager.

It's a beautiful disaster from an outside perspective; but it's also disconcerting that any club can find itself in such a disastrous loop.

This is far a cry in nature from Liverpool's fall from grace in the early 90s.... The politics and power balance of the game is totally different now.

Said it before; but I think the seeds for this were sewn by the way Fergie's old seniors treated Moyes..... Players such as (reportedly) Ferdinand, Giggs etc. turned their back on the deeper ethos of paramount respect for the club that the likes of Fergie, Keane, Bruce and co. had ingrained over the decades; in favour of ego and a "we know better than the gaffa" mentality.

I thought that Liverpool was THE lesson, and that no other huge club would repeat that, especially United. Everybody saw it right in front of them.

And then United did it, but even more so. The amount of debt, the neverending humiliating defeats. It's really fantastic & I love it.

Let the fukkers cry
