I've seen some talk about Ratcliffe running the club like a dictatorship. He supposedly meddles in every department and Ashworth apparently fell under his scrutiny for putting his neck out for Ten Hag.
Which makes sense from Ashworth's POV. He'd just spent a summer building a team to suit Ten Hag.
United fans could end up hating Ratcliffe even more than the Glaizers
