We won the Europa and United lost, and we still made the move to “fix it” first. Amorim had 14 months and Frank just 7, so there’s the difference.
Yup..... Additionally; they doubled-down on ETH after their jammy FA cup win too.

Maybe not, but since they've been chatting him up (which apparently got him sacked) it would seem at least very inconvenient.
I think we might hold off on pulling the trigger on Frank for precisely the reason that both Chavs and now United are both rumoured to be keeping their powder dry on a serious appointment til summer, Rosenior looks like he's coming in to the Chavs job and short of performing miracles there will be off in the summer for a serious candidate and the early talk at United is letting Fletcher have it or bringing Carrick or Southgate in until the Summer under similar pretences to Rosenior. If those clubs have sounded out the usual suspects already in jobs and gotten a firm round of nos, we haven't got a fucking hope in hell of getting anyone in that will turn things around, it will be Carrick or Southgate or someone equally as worrying. That’s fucked us up though they’ll be chasing a new manager at the same time as we might be.
I doubt we’re favourites for anyone if they’re in the frame for the Utd job.
They're not going to want Poch, with all due respect. Of we choose to wait til summer and go on for him, it's going to be unopposed.
I'd rather Fletcher or Carrick's ma take over in a caretaker role than this absolute pish.I think we might hold off on pulling the trigger on Frank for precisely the reason that both Chavs and now United are both rumoured to be keeping their powder dry on a serious appointment til summer, Rosenior looks like he's coming in to the Chavs job and short of performing miracles there will be off in the summer for a serious candidate and the early talk at United is letting Fletcher have it or bringing Carrick or Southgate in until the Summer under similar pretences to Rosenior. Big time charlie. Literally!Mark Bosnich just threw Gareth Southgate's name into the ring, on Radio 5.![]()
Amorim was wrong for United but he will do okay with other teams. In my opinion
He is very confident and his model can work, and now he can go elsewhere and be less rigid from the outset.
He won't miss United one bit.
Nah, judging by the Telegraph article and all the evidence here in the PL, the bloke is fucking clueless.
Surely they won’t employ another manager that favours three at the back?
If you subscribe to the idea that a lack of consistency is a big factor in why we are where we are at present as a club then this kind of mindset has been a big contributing factor to the ongoing malaise, I was staunchly Ange out and still think it was the right decision ultimately but my stance has softened considerably as a result of the last few months of Frank's term, the managers were and are not the biggest problem we have right now, it's this fucking god awful, paper-thin squad and the ownership that has allowed it to become our squad.I'd rather Fletcher or Carrick's ma take over in a caretaker role than this absolute pish.
Okay, but the alternative is that we carry on this way, which will create a bigger divide between fans and the playing team. It really is this bad though, name one player, just one, that Frank has had available to him since the start of the season, that would get into Poch's Spurs side? Fuck me I'd be surprised if more than 2 of them made the bench. Our squad with every player fit and the fortune to scrape through a season without injuries to key players, could probably scrape 5th again, looking at absolute best case scenario and factoring in how weak other teams at the top are this season, but our front line was decimated before a ball even got kicked this season, I think it's ridiculous to infer that Frank's football will never look any better or different from this when he's never been equipped with the tools to play expansive, passing football from the word go.Okay, but the alternative is that we carry on this way, which will create a bigger divide between fans and the playing team. We made a really silly hire, it hasn't worked out, so you think we just proceed and let things fester? We need to address this quick, because as hard as it is to believe, it'll get worse.
There are very, very obvious coaching flaws. As bad as the squad is, it's not this bad. This is inexcusable.
Firing Ange was the right decision. Hiring Frank was an appallingly bad move. Sacking him will also be the right decision.
