I do hope it was just political manoeuvring to get the redevelopment of WHL done. It still shocked me how poorly West Ham fans provided opposition to the move, it was obvious it was going to be a disaster.

They weren't opposed to the move because they thought they were getting one over us

Even now a proportion of their fans would take relegation in return for beating us
 
It's just came out they turned down a massive sponsorship deal in the Summer.
A well known Dog food manufacturer agreed 40 Million over 3 years to sponsor West ham's kit from the beginning of next season.

Despite being tempted, Gold and Sullivan turned it down as even they felt it would be taking the piss having Winalot printed on their shirts...
