Player Conor Gallagher

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Again another player who isn't being used properly , like many others .

We are in the same situation as MU , they got someone who went back to basics and played players where they were strongest and we are seeing the results .

He looked royally pissed off after being subbed , he at least runs his nuts off .

This guy was brought in to press high up the pitch and should in theory work well in concert with the likes of Solanke in that regard.

The trouble is all our players are being overplayed and are utterly fucked due to half the squad being injured.

They all looked like they were walking in treacle tonight, then you look at Newcastle bringing on Tonali and Woltemade and if the penny isn't dropping then...well...

I think he was a reasonable signing. But as I said at the time it wasn't a position we were crying out for players in.

As ever our transfer business was a joke.

Judge him when he has a competent manager playing him correctly.

He was never going to pull up trees. He's a 7 out of 10 player. But in a good, pressing side you need players like him. It's why Wijnaldum and Henderson were always starters for Klopp at Liverpool.

Gallagher is a gritty player that teams need. He isn’t supposed to be the best player on a team but that is what has happened.

He did great for Chelsea when he could do the dirty work and more skilled players score the goals. The problem is our skill players are hurt or useless.

Use him in his preferred position and to his strengths and he'll be decent to good for us. Play him on the right wing, for example - you wont see what he can bring to a team.

I remember a game he played against us for Palace a few moons ago - he was magnificent. And he has had many games and periods like that in his career.

There is a player in there, not an absolute game changer, but a really solid option.

He does need to get up to speed fast, though.
