Yes you do. Modern day Chelsea are not that good. Pochettino era Chelsea absolutely weren’t they were a top 6 team - nothing special or exceptional. Loads of not great players have been regulars for top 6 teams, especially when they’re an academy lad & fit the managers pressing ethos.
The guy is bang average. He’s not even in consideration for England selection. England have some good midfielders but it’s hardly Spain 2010.

You also don't get rid of club trained players. He fixed a hole for a year Chelsea, but they knew he was a very average player so sold him to balance books. Went to a team that should've suited him, was average there as well. He's found a home here with the rest of the average dross.

Gallagher was their best player during a decent campaign for them, he was also the best player at palace who still had Eze and a younger Olise.

Tbh that’s why Poch loved him as well. Some players process better at a speed others can’t process at all but if you slow the game down, they don’t have ability to pick and choose when to go or not like others do.
Only question I have for Tudor is where he uses him. I expect Xavi and Gallagher to be the wide 10’s in a 3-4-2-1. He’s not a double pivot player imo
We’ve been trying to sign Gallagher since his last two seasons at Chelsea. It’s got fuck all to do with Poch.
