Player Cristian Romero

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

He would be a great player on a great side, but he won’t accept playing for one like us. I understand and hate it at once.

This stupid era of our club’s history will see all our top talent leave in frustration or in Sonny’s case just expire. Sad.

He's a cunt. Sell him immediately. He was supposed to be the captain today and rather than take responsibility, he fucks off down the tunnel without thanking the away fans and rather than being a man and facing the post match interviews, fucking hides and leaves it to a 19 year old loanee.

Fucking cunt. I never want to see that fucking prick in a Spurs shirt ever again.
Danso looked more assured than Romero this season in the few games he played.
Danso is a proper hard man. And would rip
Romero’s head clean off. Romero
Is a fake hard man

He’s a fraud. He done the same brain dead two footed tackle today as in the infamous Chelsea game where the wheels started to fall off for ange.
He’s made more mistakes this season leading to goals than van dyke entire Liverpool career. ( probably not true but you get my point)

That goal he gifted reminded me of being in the under 11's and how unacceptable it was back then, even when it was leaked by an obese kid who'd never played before.

PS the same kid shat his pants at school only a month or two before.

Romero is going to go to a big club, and it's very likely he will win or play in a Champion's League final at some point.

A 26 year old player like him would not be getting away if we were a serious club making a serious effort to compete for the biggest prizes.

But players like this don't want to play for a club like ours, languishing at the bottom of the table with a joke of a manager and a black comedy for a board.

We also would not have sold one of the world's best strikers and brought in two never-was turnips to replace him for more money than the world class player cost if we were a serious club. But we had to do it because much the same as Romero, he didn't want to waste the rest of his career playing for Levy and winning nothing.

He handled it far better, but still. A player made of the right stuff won't want to be here.

All the anger directed at Romero for being unprofessional can be justified, but he cannot be blamed for counting the days until he's out of Levy and Ange's shitshow. He's better than this.

We ought to question the heart of anyone who is happy at the club really. The type of players that win major honors wouldn't be.

Since his signing was made permanent, we've conceded 63, 61, and on pace for 58 goals.

Romero just isn't as good as some want to make him out to be. Certainly not as good as he thinks he is.

Having a WC winner's medal doesn't make a player world class. N'Zonzi has one.

His performances this year stink of a bloke who not only thinks he is above this team, but is actively checked out until he can be bothered to re-engage his motivations.

Don't care how good you are on the ball, if your mentality is that weak and if we're being honest his actual defending isn't even top level anyway, he won't be missed when he fucks off. Thanks and enjoy Spain lad.

They can both fuck off
I'm gonna dissent a bit here and say marching straight down the tunnel was the right thing to do here - no point in confronting the baying mob at this moment, you aren't gonna change any minds. Maybe a brief hand clap would be ok.

Where I do agree is that neither of these people are good enough (Ange) or committed enough (Cuti).

His agent can smash rumours through the media all he wants but big clubs sign players when they are at their best.

Romero needs to sort his form out if he wants any club to stump up the money Levy would charge.

If he thinks Simeone is wathcing him gift goals to Wolves and sticking his neck on the line with the board at Atleti for 60m, he's off his head

yea thats not on, he clearly wants out and hes embarrassed at being around such shit. guys got a world cup winners medal at home and comes to club football and works under some bloke called ange postecoglou....id want out too.

he will move, and hell be regarded as one of the best CB in football at the end of next season for his new club......

Stop making excuses for this absolute pathetic imbecile.

He is not victim of poor levels / poor performances. HE IS THE ROOT CAUSE. HE IS AT FAULT much more so than many other members in the squad.

No one realistically expects flawless performances as CB from 18yo midfielder like Gray. So in such instances more could be on shoulder of more experienced players... like Romero. But he has no balls nor spine. He has been letting everyone down and fucking things up since very first day of the season, let's not forget that. He is cause of that turmoil, not someone that is "above us" or "above situation".

He is currently 5th best CB of the side and we should literally get rid of him at any cost. If its 25 mil, it's 25 mil. He is bad apple and we need to forget that such pathetic and worthless person ever had anything to do with Spurs.

"Saving" your best performances for a potential new and better club is not a thing. He's just not very good a lot of the time.
Been skating by for years because supporters would rather blame attackers for everything.

Most expensive defender in club history, fee and wages, and vice-captain that has led a defence that will have shipped ±180 league goals in 3 seasons.

I'm not adamant that we sell him this summer, but if we sell him I'm not going to whinge either. And I certainly wouldn't call it a damning moment for club leadership.

He's been a better signing than Ndombele, but that's a very low bar.
