Player Cristian Romero

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Never heard of him or seen him play but I can tell you that he is the best centre back on earth
Happy Birthday Pig GIF by Angry Birds

What a post 😂 he may just end up as that in a few years.

That clearance in the 98th minute was unreal.. a ball whipped in like that could have ended up anywhere. He has a few rough edges that need smoothing, and maybe needs the guidance of Dier beside him in this back three, but Romero looks like the best business we've done in years. Very impressed with each of that back three.

The angle for such a dangerous cross came about because of Lucas. He often gets lauded for hard work, and I won't dispute that he works hard, but he's not an intelligent marker of space and often hasn't a clue what's going on around him. It's why in these hypothetical discussions of converting a winger into a wing back I think Bergwijn would be better than Lucas, just a smarter and more diligent player. Incredibly lax for that City free kick and could have cost us badly.

So pleased for him that we bagged the winner....... Pen was legit, but no less harsh on him..... Would have been a brutal end to his otherwise excellent performance.

Pen was legit and harsh at the same time. His arm was just out of control because he was finding himself at the ball, and Pep asking for the second yellow was abhorrent behaviour as it was clearly unintentional (unless Romero had Jedi reflexes to punch a ball from that close up at that pace, in which case he should be a goalie). But arm was also well away from his body and his face when it hit the ball so it was definitely a penalty.

Romero gave away the pen...
Lloris handed them the equaliser...

Even the best aren't perfect, but I'll take that!

I'd rather Romero & Lloris in our backline, than Ramon Vega & Bobby Mimms!! (Not a fair comparison, granted... But you get get the idea!)

I kept telling you guys. He played in the Copa America final while unfit after returning from a long injury. He played alongside that clown Otamendi in a back 4, Brazil was dominant, and Argentina could only get at them with counter attacks.

He still stood out despite all that.

What he's doing for us is already a lot better.

What I'm trying to say is...

Dear Cuti, I wrote you but still ain't callin'
I left my cell, my pager, and my home phone at the bottom
I sent two letters back in autumn, you must not-a got 'em
There probably was a problem at the post office or somethin'
Sometimes I scribble addresses too sloppy when I jot 'em
But anyways, fuck it, what's been up? Man how's your daughter?

For all of Paratici's fuck ups how he actually managed to convince this guy to sign for a Nuno Spurs team almost wipes out the Gollini, Emerson, Gil signings.

Bit soon to right off Gil who’s clearly a player.

Gollini is a loan for a season.

Emerson is not terrible for a back 4 but it’s not a wingback.

Signed,
Mrs Paratici

Gil is quality but he's a bad transfer for us because we ca not use him, there's a reason why he's gone back to Spain.

Gollini was a pointless buy (might as well have kept Gazza) and Let's be real Emerson isn't gonna be first choice next season.

None of these players have made a dent on our squad since they've signed.

I do think he might have got the Kulu and Bentancur signings right though.
