Now there’s a wild concept, actually acting like a big club. Maybe, just maybe, instead of moaning about ambitious players wanting more, we could match that ambition ourselves. Get in top-tier coaching, invest properly in depth, and stop treating Champions League qualification like it’s a miracle rather than a minimum expectation.
Crazy idea: create an environment where players like Romero see a future, not a stepping stone. But nah, easier to bash them for wanting to win stuff while we coast in mediocrity and romanticise “the project” like it’s year one all over again.
Ambition isn’t the problem, it’s the lack of it around him that is.
