Yea, he doesn't have the mental fortitude of a top player, nor can he stay alert throughout the game. He can look alright in games where he isn't really tested, and every once in a while he can look good. But being a good player is much more than that. I think that is what other clubs spotted a long time ago. Juve didn't even let him play. What would it have cost them to have let him play at least one game? I guess they just didn't like what they saw.
Then some Spurs fans have started to believe that he's world class and can't admit that they're wrong. Even when he's having his worst season ever for us, they're still claiming he's a star.
If I'm honest, he was not this bad a few seasons ago. First couple of seasons he was alright. But this season his level has been shocking. He's costing us a goal nearly every game, and for every goal, there are numerous more mistakes that the opponents fail to convert. It's definitely affecting the other players. When a captain is so bad, the rest will stop believing in the project.
He's not a leader. He's definitely more of a clown. The question is, are we going to get rid of him before its too late?
Son seemed to be able to bond with everyone. Not we just have a bunch of really bad apples. And the captain is the worst of the lot. We truly deserve to be in the position we're in.
