Player Cristian Romero

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Wandering around central London with a little bit of strapping and no crutches.
24 hours after an injury which he would have been told “rest”.

Can’t be that bad an injury is my first thought.

Or this is exactly why our players are always fucked.
He was probably off trampolining or dry slope skiing with the blessing of the physios.

Lol yep if he has any sense he'll leave to find a competent medical department immediately.

Ours probably just told him it's a Knock. Just rub some deep freeze gel on it , tape it up and you'll be aight , same thing they said to Erik and dejan.

He's the worst captain I've seen in 40 odd years of supporting the club. I can't think of another one that comes close.
As Captain he publicly and petulantly shirked all responsibility for the dire situation onto the ownership for not signing more players. He gave them their excuse months ago, and essentially gave them the green light to give up.

Now I'm well aware the idiots Lange/Vinai/etc.. have absolutely not set this playing squad up for success, but nor have they put together a squad that should be getting relegated.

Absolutely pathetic excuse for a captain.

While it wasn't his fault, it felt like a fitting end to his Spurs career. Limping off in tears while we're 1-0 down in the relegation places. Sums up our year with him as captain.

It won't be easy to replace his passing from deep but I don't think it will be too hard to replace pretty much everything else he offers.

Get a bit fed up listening to Spurs pods where there's kind of blanket cliché that "he's probably our one world class player/our one truly top talent". There's a reason basically no neutrals rate him at all - the only people that think he's world class outside of Spurs are Argentina fans.

And tbh even on the ball he can be utter wank sometimes - can think of plenty of performances where he passed the ball like he was 6 pints deep.

I'd say 20-30% of his time at Spurs he's been absolutely brilliant, but the rest he's either been inconsistent, suspended or outright poor. Very overrated player by certain pockets of the fan-base.
