If he wants to be a part of Tottenham then he needs to have atleast a reasonably good season. Anything less he'll be moved on I think.

Good move for him...
A Championship loan at a promoted club is gonna tick SO many boxes...

He's gonna be playing in a team expected to struggle, in a League that is arguably one of the toughest to survive or get out of...

So it will be interesting to see how he fares!

Good Luck Captain!

not sure a team that could be near the bottom is a good move, if fighting the drop how much time will he get ?,
think he and our other loans near teams expected to be mid-table so the manager can play our players giving them nice amount of minutes

Maybe. In striker terms he’s still pretty young. He definitely needs to have a good season. However I do think we’ve messed with his development by giving him some pretty poor loans. It started off great at Pompey until they changed manager who then didn’t like him and preferred older players. The Ipswich loan was just a bad move, they had too many options already in attack. I’ve no idea what the situation up front is like for Oxford but he has to get games then the goals will come.

I do wonder if he should look at playing as a wide forward now too and developing there. I wouldn’t jettison him just yet.

Probably half a chance he could start tonight in the EFL cup. Mark Harris might be quite a difficult one to displace in the league but outside of that they don't have much quality up top so should get plenty of chances.

I like your optimism.

But for a striker to go to very much struggling team where he might get minimal service is bit questionable in my eyes.

That could just as easily spell that they're likely to be defending all the time and creating little of striking opportunity for him (both in terms of attacks and game-time).....

Loans are not an exact science..... Sadly there's a lot of luck involved.

It slices both ways..... A challenging team aren't likely to risk their promotion on a no-track record loanee ahead of their #1.

Like I said above........ There's a lot of luck and circumstance wrapped up in loans.

Good luck, Dane. Hope you have a great season (or two) and come back ready to challenge for the first team.
I know one thing. He really wants to be Centerforward for Tottenham Hotspur so he's as sad as the rest of us. He watched Kane alot, was told he stayed behind with Harry constantly, he has bits and peices needs to put it all together. May click may never , but best of luck to him.
