Scarlett to be recalled?
Is that a suggestion or a rumour?
Think we have no option as Oxford sacked there manager..look at it from the other direction...this could be his kane moment.
Its not been a great loan for Dane in terms of playing time - initially was getting 10/15 minutes at end of games before scoring a couple of goals for E u21's and then almost immediately got a run of games either as starter or otherwise meaningful minutes to score something likes 4 goals in 6 or 7 matches when the manager played him as a striker and his main competitor, Harris, as a winger (where he's probably better than as a striker and he's not a prolific scorer either - think he's only scored 5 goals in about 3 times number of minutes that Scarlett has played.). But old manager decided to go back to playing Harris as a low scoring striker so Scarlett went back to bench.
Scarlett has been on bench for the 3 matches so far under new manager (who registered 2 wins) so unless there is an immediate change by new manager Rowett to play Scarlett regularly, there seems little point in him staying at Oxford,
He had an 'ok' loan at L1 Portsmouth in 22/23 aged 18 where he scored 6 goals but didn't really get enough minutes and has been a reliable and reasonably prolific goalscorer at E u20 and E u21 - so that's what managers at other clubs need to get enthused with to give him another loan.

Found this on the Man U site about their Europa Squad, maybe Scarlett can go on our B list as he is under 21 .
