Wooo, a chance to sign a potential world class player and it's all doom and gloom in here about Toby. Let's take things as it comes. We have Toby for at least two more years. More revenue possible with the new stadium. If I were indeed Toby, I would put off signing the new contract for another year because he has more negotiating power and has a chance to get a bigger piece of the pie with the increased revenue. For now, we might have three incredible central defenders with this signing and are going to steam roll teams.

If we do get this signing we will have a immense defensive line with Dier to cover any role.
 
Not all that fussed if we don't sign this guy. Looks to have good potential however it's so hit & miss from the Dutch league to Prem.

£35-£40M (touted) is a lot of money for a potential flop.

If Chelsea are sniffing around this guy, I wouldn't half mind sneaking in for VVD. Now what a back 3 that would be. On Juventus level.

Why would we buy a right footed CB and sell Wimmer.
That would leave us with 4 right footed CBs and 1 left footed.
Poch likes the balance of a L/R footed pairing it better for the balance and for the way we spilt

I think we don't need to sell anyone else really. We could spend £100m and spend as much net as we did last year.


Ps I'd sell Sissoko if we could get in another player in his position for the money

The answer to your question is Ben Davies.

I think Potch favours the back three, so if Verts gets injured we can still play a back three with Davies on the left.
