I still find it amazing, considering the words form Pochettino, that we didn't have someone in mind and hadn't done anything about it before we sold Walker.
 
Levy spends to much time haggling on a price then other teams come sniffing , we're always lose out on top players because we take to long . Levy needs to get in the real world £40m is the new normal for a players now the market has changed .if we want to compete we need to spend .
 
Not much happening, Davison back to training plus chels/real interest and Serge Aurier's court case.
It's happening again, slow of the mark. Walker's replacement should have been sorted before he was confirmed to mancity.
Probably best to is wait dust to settle, all PL top clubs finish their shopping and then DL crush shopping but please not another Sissoko.

I don't get this if we had agreed £40M I can't see Ajax not calling up Chelsea and RM to see if they will up the price. I believe this is why we try to do business on the last day of the season as this is not an option.

It's mental. We have pulled in £50 million for Walker (arguably the best player in his position in the PL) & people are reporting that we are quibbling over the fee for allegedly the hottest young property in Europe in his position. If we want the player, pay the fee and get it done or get gazumped by a club that will just get the chequebook out & do the deal without haggling the fuck out of the selling team to the point that they lose patience.

The hottest young property in Europe that no-one had heard of until 4 or 5 days ago. Mate, these stories are all very normal when a player is about to leave. When Welbeck left Man U for the scum, absolutely no one was interested in him, two days before he was supposed to sign, the press had us as "we" were going to hijack the deal, the reality was we didn't so much as fart in his direction. These stories generate clicks, it's the Express.
