Ex-Spurs Player Davinson Sanchez

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Depends on the injury. Long term, yeah completely fucked but we can potentially cope with a few games…. The one game per week means even a month lay off is only four games and potentially manageable albeit a definite downgrade. Agree on Phillips, would be great if he became a viable back up and really shone

Yes, definitely easier to cope with an injury not having to play in Europe and getting knocked out of the Carabao Cup so early. That’s probably why we’re willing to be so thin at CB.

Never moaned, never bitched and always gave 100% even when he had abuse hurled at him. I cannot find it in myself to dislike or even hate a player like that.

Thank you for your service Davinson and good luck in Turkey.

I think Tanguay & Sanchez have turned into the CB/CM versions of eachother...

Both had great potential, both had a ridiculously high transfer fee on their heads, both showed real signs of early promise
...but both ultimately failed to deliver long term...

The only difference was their respective attitudes; IE: polar opposite to eachother.

I had really high hopes for both of them originally ... Thought they'd form part of the central spine of our team one day...

...aaaaaand that's why I'm not a Manager!

Hope he succeeds, but I’m just happy he’s not going to mess up in a Spurs shirt again. Ange has figured out the weak links very quickly with Dier out the squad too. Anyway, if anyone is upset with selling Sanchez, I’ll leave you with this beauty

He tried blocking a shot with his head when all else failed. Cant fault him for that

One thing you cannot say about this guy is that he didn't give absolutely everything when he played.

It was very rarely enough, but he was FULLY committed and left whatever he had, out there on the field.

I have massive respect for that.

Classic spurs irony that we finally get rid of him, when we might actually need him (this season).

Either way, thanks for your professionalism, conduct and endeavour, Dave.

Good luck! 👍

Dier, winks, Hojbjerg, sissoko gave everything too yet they get more shit that this bloke, who has probably let us down more times than all those, combined. He was never good enough and should have gone ages ago. It seems just because some idiots booed him all his awful performances are forgotten and all of a sudden he’s the model pro is used to mask his huge deficiencies. Those other players were and are too professional. It’s 99% of their fucking job to be professional!

Good luck to him. Limited in many ways, though looked much worse than he was because of the £40 million transfer fee. I can't say I'm sad he's gone but he was always committed and treated the club with respect, did not deserve any abuse or booing at all. I hope he succeeds at his new club.

Yeah, mostly - but his appearances last year under Conte were the definition of half arsed. Feel free to go back and watch his movement for the goals we conceded when he played.

However, a lot of players seemed to have given up under Conte so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

This. I totally don’t agree with the booing that day, but let’s not beat around the bush here. Davinson Sanchez was shite and was a complete liability. As bad as Dier. Both have been stealing a living for years and messing up games in the process. An awful pairing and I’m not going to start waxing lyrical about him because he’s a nice guy. Good luck to him, but thank fuck he’s not messing up in a Spurs shirt anymore. Just that useless wanker Dier now to bugger off.

Sanchez had plenty of fine performances for spurs. If it wasn’t for his price tag, he wouldn’t have received as much hate.

Saying Sanchez let us down more than dier, winks, sissoko, and Hojbjerg combined is just not correct. He was about on par with most of those players and a much braver player than the 3 hiders on that list.

Haha, the perfect clip, that, in a few short seconds, shows that wild mix of ineptitude and total commitment, that perfectly encapsulates him.

Gawd bless 'im.

Good luck, Dave.
