I said it would be a "minor" disaster. You say "It wouldn't be good," but I think we're just splitting hairs. My point, referencing previous posts, was that there is no reason our expectation level should be 8th for this season.8th would hardly be a disaster. It wouldn't be good, but not a disaster. Poch has already proven he's willing to tinker and change things to make it work.. that in itself is a sign that we're far from any kind of crisis (a la AVB boring football game after game). Shit, this season already feels better than last in many ways. Nowhere to go but up from that shit show. I'd gladly take finishing a bit lower if that meant the squad was just a little closer to finding an identity and a backbone.
Looking forward to seeing him in a spurs shirt, main thing we've been missing is some real pace.
Will Be mental if he plays at rm and have walker behind him at rb![]()
Also look at Lennon for example, I wouldn't say he is mental anymore and he has the pace, I know we had one full back turn into some worldy winger but it doesn't mean every young full back willWhy would it be "mental"? Pace can only get you so far. From what I've read and seen Yedlin's delivery isn't that great.
I graduated from high school with two people named DeAndre. I've never met a Gareth in my life. Cultural relativism football (or maybe soccer) style.
yes
This is also where I'd like to see himLooking forward to seeing him in a spurs shirt, main thing we've been missing is some real pace.

Why do I get the feeling this guy is more of a marketing strategy than a player for us?
If he ends up being good it's just happy bonus for levy
If you're saying that Levy is trying to capitalize on the pocketbooks of Seattle Sounders supporters then I might agree with you.Why do I get the feeling this guy is more of a marketing strategy than a player for us?

Pacey players compliment technical players. Modric used to spray it out to Lennon, Bale and Defoe. He did the same for Di Maria, Bale and Ronaldo last season. Silva puts through Aguero, Navas etc.Sometimes listening to football fans is like watching two kids chat.
"If we play this fast guy with this fast guy they will be double fast!"
Despite the fact our best player is a sluggish Dane.

Surely the marketing angle doesn't hurt. But he was a key contributor on a pretty decent World Cup squad when he was like 20 years old. I think he's clearly a legit prospect.
Think it might have been the stars aligning for Levy. Why do I get the feeling this guy is more of a marketing strategy than a player for us?
