Ex-Spurs Player DeAndre Yedlin

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Looking forward to seeing him in a spurs shirt, main thing we've been missing is some real pace.
Will Be mental if he plays at rm and have walker behind him at rb :adewtf:

8th would hardly be a disaster. It wouldn't be good, but not a disaster. Poch has already proven he's willing to tinker and change things to make it work.. that in itself is a sign that we're far from any kind of crisis (a la AVB boring football game after game). Shit, this season already feels better than last in many ways. Nowhere to go but up from that shit show. I'd gladly take finishing a bit lower if that meant the squad was just a little closer to finding an identity and a backbone.
I said it would be a "minor" disaster. You say "It wouldn't be good," but I think we're just splitting hairs. My point, referencing previous posts, was that there is no reason our expectation level should be 8th for this season.

Also look at Lennon for example, I wouldn't say he is mental anymore and he has the pace, I know we had one full back turn into some worldy winger but it doesn't mean every young full back will

Sometimes listening to football fans is like watching two kids chat.

"If we play this fast guy with this fast guy they will be double fast! :pochwtf:"

Despite the fact our best player is a sluggish Dane.

Pacey players compliment technical players. Modric used to spray it out to Lennon, Bale and Defoe. He did the same for Di Maria, Bale and Ronaldo last season. Silva puts through Aguero, Navas etc.

Surely the marketing angle doesn't hurt. But he was a key contributor on a pretty decent World Cup squad when he was like 20 years old. I think he's clearly a legit prospect.

With Walker coming back we will have the student and the master at RB and Davies and Rose at left back it looks like full back will no longer be such a difficult area.

No offense to Naughton, Chriches, Dier or Yedlin but god we have missed Walker.

Why do I get the feeling this guy is more of a marketing strategy than a player for us?

If he ends up being good it's just happy bonus for levy
Think it might have been the stars aligning for Levy.

The kid really does look promising, and at least plays more like Walker than Naughton does.
But yes, his mouth will have been watering at the American fans this could generate. Aside from Howard, who else in the PL is a big guy for 'Murica?

Would not be surprised if we start making moves on Julian Green soon enough.

If only Yedlin had kept his Rufio hairstyle...

I don't expect Spurs to get 8th, but there's no reason we should be expecting top 4 either. Hell, 5 is even somewhat of a stretch. Realistically, the squad just isn't that good of a team-- talented individuals, no doubt, but not there in terms of chemistry and style. Thus I would happily take 8th if that means Poch drops points early (experimenting with rotation, tactics etc etc) to help the squad find what's going to make them a competitive top 4 team in the future.
