Come on, his performances dipped after injury, he's never been the same after he came back. Whole team was playing shitty and it didn't help him at all as well. He's very young, showed already at how high level he can play, it's a nobrainer.

People are always quick to point towards the unpopular players in the squad when we discuss bad apples and such. But it could be that those bad apples also exist among our darlings.
If any players have the power to go against the manager, it surely has to be Kane, Son and Lloris?
I don't even think it is that. Trippier said on the High Performance Podcast that he was blown away by the professionalism of players like Kane, Vertonghen and Alderweireld who'd be in and out of the gym before he'd even get to training when he joined us. Maybe he just means that extra bit of professionalism? Kane alluded to similar last week.
I've long suspected the new training ground just makes the players complacent. Maybe we just need to be buying players that have that bit extra professionalism, hunger and drive than we have been doing?
And probs about 5 times the minutes. As you say all bar Kane suffered massively under Conte this season. But my worry with Kulu is he's a one trick pony cutting inside from the right, sometimes like Robben did you only need the one trick.
But evidence this season is he's not fast or strong enough to get past someone who knows what he's gonna do the second he gets the ball.

Still doesn't improve Mentour Pilot's stats.
All three are ultra selfish and entitled. They appear to be “bigger than the club” or any coach brought in. I actually think it’d be good for Kane to either be made captain or to leave, and for both Son and Lloris to leave as well.
The squad culture needs refreshing.
You can be ultra professional and still have an attitude problem tbf.
Michael Jordan was mr. professional in regards to his own training and fitness. But he's also admitted to bullying teammates that he felt weren't up for it. To "test them".
There's definitely a lack of drive for success in the team. But that's on the team as a whole, not just the squad players. It has to go on Kane, Son and Lloris too.
Nothing against Sonny, but i always felt he was a bit soft. Even when he was at his best there were certain matches right from the kick-off you could tell he just didn't have it that day.
We hear stories about Kane having a go at players in the locker-room but he always struck me as a "lead by example" kind of player. Which to be fair is a hell of an example.
Unfortunately it seems like our mid players (Dier, PEH, Hugo) may have the loudest voices. We need players that have leadership qualities but then go back it up on the pitch. Not an easy feat.
When Poch banished the rotten apples of Adebayor and Kaboul, that sent a message. Younger Spurs loving players stepped in.
I think there's been a lot of players that left over the years who's leadership was underestimated and never replaced. Guys like Dawson, Walker, Jan, Lamela. During the Poch years, you can look at those squads and point out numerous players who you knew loved Spurs and fought for the shirt. Nowadays you a bunch of wage thieves happy to be here.
Kane has the same issue as Son if you ask me.
There are games were Kane is on it from the word go and can control the game by himself. And then there are games where he definitely doesn't look bothered. Or cannot get going until someone else kickstarts it.
Today I expect bullying team mates would be laughing at one of them for not having the latest iPhone and them going crying to their agents.
i would agree with that if Hugo didnt call out the attitude problem in the squad himself. Conte also spoke very highly of Son's profesionalism, and he was the only player i think to say he let Conte down when he was sacked, the rest kept quiet.
Pochettino. Mourinho. Nuno. Conte. Stellini. Mason.
Keep changing coaches but things keep going to shit.
People keep/kept blaming the likes of Mourinho and Conte, but it finally feels like the fans are seeing this squad for what it is.
You can carry 1 or 2 low quality players. Heck, if you have 8+ shit hot players, they can make a low quality player look better than he is.
But when half your match day squad is shit, everyone looks shit. They can drag even the best down sometimes.
Mourinho and Conte have both spoken the truth, but fans decided it was them that was the enemy.
"I didn't tell them to do that" is the general message after the team sits back on a lead and throws it away.
How many different coaches, coaching the same set of players, have to say it before people sling mud at the coach and call them dinosoars?

Mourinho and Conte's "truth" was to mask their under-performance.
Both had squads that got to the top or close to the top of the table. It's up to the manager to provide the environment to flourish.

Neither managed to stay at or close to the top for more than a few weeks. Nuno got us to the top for a few weeks too.
The only 2 constants are the board and half this shitty squad.
As much as I hate the board, they don't get on the pitch, so once the whistle blows, the performances of the team are down to the players.
If you genuinely believe coaches like Conte and Mourinho tell them to sit back and hope for the best, every game, no matter how bad the opposition is, you're giving the players too much credit.

If you're telling me Conte and Mourinho can't get players to follow simple instructions they aren't fit to be managers.
Spurs is a lovely place where there are no expectations and that applies to players and the manager.
"To do is to dare"? Try "just about do enough" from top to bottom.
Thing is, if you get to Christmas top of the table, why can't you continue that form?
Son is finally coming good after contes stifling this season. Why is the other wing any different
Both Mourinho and Conte did get them playing well. For a period. And then when they started doing what they do it all fell apart and the pair of them got sacked.
And this summer we'll bring another coach in, who will probably get a rise out of them for 8-10 games. And then we'll get beat and it falls apart.
Surely no one wants to see the bulk of this squad kick off next season?
