Player Dejan Kulusevski

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Kulusevsk has the most goal involvements in our team this season and stood up to be counted when we were in the shittest of shit storms. Could've cried it off with "soreness" but he didn't. There is a reason the best players have the ability of availability.

He's 100 miles clear as our player of the season. If you make the case that the season has been shit so any player of the season isn't saying as much, then you have a point but regardless of that fact, he is our player of the season hands down. And if he stays fit and now gets some rest in the rotation, there is nothing stopping him ending the season with 25+ goal involvements.

So you’re saying he is our KDB?

I just think a lot of SPurs fans only watch our team - which is understandable

but...

Go on any forum for any club and you will read scathing reviews of all players - even their best ones for having shit games, being shit, not being good enough etc etc etc blah blah blah.

There are a very, very few players in the world who play well every game - so judging 95% of pro footballers on whether or not they perform to their top-level in every game is unhelpful and frankly makes no sense.

He's slow as molasses to begin with. So anything that hampers his mobility and movement even further, be it a knock or general fatigue, turns him into a shell of himself. Can't get by anybody, can't hold on to the ball, loses 50/50s more often than not. You might as well play with 10 men.

He has been run into the ground, it's hardly surprising to see him struggle the way he has recently.

The idea he’s been run into the ground so now lacks mobility is absurd. He can’t run. That’s his problem, he’s a very average athlete. So any drop in form suddenly highlights that lack of athleticism. Even when fresh I saw him blatantly outpaced by a cart horse like Dan Burn.

The hoops people jump through to defend him having a shit game are laughable.

Bet you he’s faster than KDB

Ah here Davey, no need to get all hissy. I was never one of these fans who was claiming Kulusevski is going to be the new KDB, even back when it was trendy in September.

I literally am just pointing out that on current form he's better than him. KDB can't even run these days. I guarantee you Pep would prefer to have Deki for the remainder of the season.

Its not an outlandish point at all. Amazed nobody here agrees with me. This is not me calling Kulusevski world class. This is just me stating how washed KDB is, and find it amazing how nobody else seems to see it. Maybe I watch more Man City games than most of you but KDB is done
The clue is that nobody here agrees with you

meh.
pace isn't really a factor when he's played in his correct position

Erm .. ok. He’s not played well in ages, this isn’t one bad game lmao.

So your real point is basically KDB is now shit. He’s that bad even Kulusevski is better than him. 😅

Cool.
well to some extent yes. I just came across this thread and saw people laughing at the fact that people were comparing kulusevski to KDB. My point was on current form he probably is and KDB won't be getting any better from here.

I certainly wouldn't swap Kulusevski for KDB right now anyway!

I agree that he started well but the longer this season goes on I am more inclined to start questioning the highlighted statement. He has certainly been available more than most but there have been quite a few weeks where he has stunk the place out. I think some people on here are influenced a bit by pundits and commentators like Jamie Redknapp that don’t watch every Spurs game who often say that “Kuluchevski” has been our best player. When available or when picked players like Spence have performed more consistently for me. So at this stage I am not saying that he hasn’t been our best player overall this season but I think it is not as clear as some think. Having said that as I said earlier he has certainly been one of the more available players

I think Spence will get it. It's a popularity contest and right now Spence is universally liked by the fan base where Kulu has his detractors. The fans can associate with Spence journey which is why I think he will get fans player of the season.

Hes not an average athlete. He is in fact an unbelievable athlete. Hes just not explosive as an athlete. More a 3000 m runner than an 100m explosive sprinter.
His form is gone off a cliff though
