As a Dane who has lived in Italy for how many years, how come he speaks better English than I do? This lad has special powers.
Well it t takes 25 year for a Dane to learn Danish, I guess a second language is harder when you haven't learned the first yet.

Well kidding aside. We start with English early in Sweden and I guess he's been gaming a lot. Learning 8n discord. My 15 year old son speaks English 4 hours a day. And my experience from living in Brazil was that my English got worse they're, even though I spoke it all day. I think because the Brazilians were so bad at it that you have to speak really simple English, maybe it's the same in Italy?

actually, citeh away was probably a free hit for the new guys.... Burnley on a cold wet night will really show how stout these two are.....
Not after the two home defeats just before... It was actually more of a must win... or at least dare not lose!

There was more (albeit self-inflicted) pressure on that City game than had we beaten Southampton/Wolves! I thought they both handled themselves magnificently.

But yes, a wet Wednesday night ™ in Burnley will give them more insight into the overall 'glamour' of the PL!

Seems our new ex-Juve players haven't been cheating with their distance training. Son and Emerson on the other hand.

Son wasn’t committing back to defend as much as the likes of Kulu. He did enough still. I suspect he was told to be the first ready outlet in attack when we got the ball so wanted the extra couple of yards up the pitch. He did a lot of work, like everyone.

Son came off with 19 minutes to go, and Emerson with 16 minutes to go, otherwise at the rate they’re going based on those stats I imagine we’re comfortable getting 11km out of them or close to. Same goes with Sessegnon who lost the final 9 minutes.

Looks to me that evening put a very good shift in.

Actually, his parents are from Makedonia...

Since you disagree with that statement (i.e., that Kulusevski's parents are from Makedonia) VonnegutBusy VonnegutBusy maybe you can throw some light on who his real parents are then since you claim to have first-hand knowledge about the matter. Maybe you even was personally "involved" then hey 😁
According to various sites his parents are from Macedonia and he's even got a Makedonian name (Дејан Кулушевски)

Dejan Kulusevski - Wikipedia

Kulusevski was born in Sweden to Macedonian parents; he represented both Macedonia and Sweden internationally at youth level, before opting to play for his birth country at senior level, making his full debut in 2019.

North Macedonia *

:balesnarl:

That was a compromise Makedonia had to make with the Greeks  To them it's still Makedonia.
Besides, it was still Makedonia when his parents were born 😁
I’m just glad it finally put to bed all the ‘Alexander the great wasn’t Greek’ bull, which as a classicist I found particularly galling. He was from Makedon, a land that was geographically part of the Ancient Greek world and geographically is still part of mainland modern Greece!

Kulusevski can be from wherever he wants, I love him!

Best thing about him for me, his ability to play one touch. Lucas and Bergwijn both tend to need far too many touches to get the ball under control, with Kane and Son sometimes we need a quick touch from someone to put it in their direction and he's got that ability. I'm really excited that these two and Romero are actually all turn out well, now I've said that - expect them all to go to shit.

So Conte wanted him and Bentancur. No conspiracy. What a surprise!

Conte added: “When you go to sign players here in England, you have to check many aspects. I continue to repeat this, because this is the top league and it’s very difficult to play. It’s not for all, this league.

“If you play in this league, you can play in every league. But it doesn’t mean if you play in another league, you can come here to play. I think we have to pay great attention [to signings].

“Bentancur and Kulusevski are two good signings, two good prospects for the philosophy of the club. Two good players to develop. But players that are ready now. Ready to play and to help us.”

Well obviously Levy told him to say that.

Yeyea, Lennon was smart. And Heskey on his day was faster than Mbappe.
And Palacios was way better passer than Pirlo.

I mean come on, Lennon was dedicated and nice guy and all. Had awesome pace, put in an effort and all. But he always ran with his head down, had made decision what to do with the ball right after receiving it without any consideration how the situation had changed, etc.

Maybe he could work as a wing-back in current system. And one can say many positive things about him. But he was obviously lacking footballing brain... or at least this brain did not keep up with the tempo of the game at all...
He was good at getting to the byline for cut backs, which worked well when Defoe was up top with his great movement in the box. It so good at looking up and whipping balls in to Crouch, super Pav etc

Kane is clearly a one-off, but Kulu has some similar traits, his movement, intelligence, control, passing and dare I say it, his apparent lack of speed. He clearly has a great engine too. As with most footballers it's not about the one-off games but consistency, so fingers crossed he's able to replicate the last game

Lennon didn’t push on as we’d have looked but fuck me he got me out of my seat. Electric pace and ability to control the ball at pace, including controlling long passes with this stumpy little legs, and when he did get his head up his passing was very good. Biggest issue was his weaker delivery and seeming aversion to shoot, but I’d have an early twenties Lennon ahead of most of our current attacking options.
