actually in the talksport interview he didn't even mention "70 minutes". He stated VDV should have played 60 minutes but due to the Romero injury he was "forced" to go against that advice (by the medical department).

Anyway even with the quote you provided Mr pedantic he states "60 to 70" and VDV played 80 so he went against advice and played him longer then what he should have. I'm not surprised you're trying to pick holes though.

What Talksport interview?

I'm not surprised you're trying to hyperbolise

Show me a single quote that states specific medial advice was given?

You think Ange just created that number then? the "60 minutes" the "70 minutes"...you think he's just decided himself that VDV is only fit enough to play those minutes? you need everything written in black and white? even when it's this obvious that a manager would be liaising with the medical team.

So when Ange says Sarr was not fit enough to play a game he started you think again he's just decided that? or that maybe just maybe he might have been informed by the medical team prior to the game that he's not fit to play.....hence Ange saying he was not fit enough to play.

You're a lost cause when it comes to discussing/debating anything Ange related so i'm not surprised you're spouting bollocks. "Show me where it states MEDICAL advice" God what a dweeb.

Course youre going to pipe up - the master of hyperbole - anyone that comes on here, or anywhere and chooses to say person X 'LITERALLY SAID' something, the onus is on them to back that shit up - or else expect to get called out for chatting shit.

Not my fault you guys can't deal in nuanced conversation.

Sometimes you just have to give a youth player a go. Would we really have been Welles during that spell if Ajayi had taken some of Demi’s minutes?

Other clubs don’t hesitate to use young players when there is an injury crisis, even if they aren’t great talents. Sometimes needs must.
Right and then you destroy some 16/17 year old kid because they are not ready for the men's team? It really isn't as easy as you think to just use kids. The kids need to be the right age. Very few clubs just throw them in if they aren't big talents, they are nearly always highly rated and on the cusp if they are thrown in.

1. "advised by the medical team", he didn't say that.
2. "60 minutes max", he didn't say that.

Take those out and you're left with "Ange himself stated he... play VDV... against Chelsea"

Here is the deal, VDV played approximately 10-20 mins longer than planned because of an injury to Romero, then came off feeling tightness in his hammy but nothing that anyone felt was a concern directly after the game.

The fact that he played is much more likely to have resulted in the tighness after the game, there is no way to know if an extra 10-20mins had any impact at all. It's not some exact science where you can say he'd have been fine if he played 60 or 70mins. It just doesn't work like that.

Ange probably should never have mentioned it but after he did mention it, he probably regrets playing him for the extra 10-20mins. That doesn't mean those extra minutes caused the injury... If we look at the fact that he played 45 mins of walking pace against Elfborg and still needed to do some extra work on his running dynamics to feel properly comfortable should tell us that the issue was something deeper that they want to work out. Let's hope they have.

A record Nine hamstring injuries in a season (season not even done yet)

Ange having beef with the medical team to the point that the main guy that was here for 15 plus years with numerous managers packs it in and fucks off.

Ange playing a player more then what he should.

Ange starting another player who wasn't fit to play.

A key player coming out and saying he's been at "40%/50% for a while"

The captain coming out and saying that some of the injuries were inevitable and should have been foreseen.

Numerous players returning from injury early and then getting reinjured.

All this and the geezer wants to talk about "where was medical advice mentioned" lol.

Yeah the VDV situation is true and is the only example of potential recklessness by Ange. I think 60-70 mins was the medical advice and VDV pulled his hammy on 75 mins.

TBF, I could only imagine the uproar on here if he subbed off VDV for Archie Gray or Dorrington at 2-2 against Chelsea. Remember this was before Archie Gray had played any league games at centre back!

Pretty sure there's few on here who wouldn't agree with the calm, collective pillar thing... might disagree even myself after a shit performance or a loss but I'll take it mate.

I'd say you've probably been more the calm collected type since you joined.

Yeah its laughable. These guys want to argue every little micro point tirelessly and demand evidence even though all the evidence for our medical failures and the team being run in to the ground is there. There's no excuse for it, our schedule has NOT been that bad and we've had lots of 'soft' mid-week games/cup ties.

Its obvious mistakes have been made this season, players have been rushed back, players have been overplayed, looked overtrained and exhausted. And we're total shit. 13th in the league. I dunno where fans get the energy to defend a guy so obviously doing terribly.

Well at least you didn't, like me get called out by Savva for 15 minutes this morning for being a lot of insulting words for just asking about VDV's pace :D

I do look forward to us having a new manager and to see you behind the team! Maybe next season we can be friends ;)

No no I'm not defending Ange - I just would like clarification on points that are made as 'Facts' I don't demand evidence but as I don't read or watch everything so it's nice to read people who have the effort to give examples.

I agree on mistakes that have been made but regarding the medical team only their information is relayed internally only but sometimes it's via pressers or articles via the manager or players so no offence I'm happy to ask if someone knows more than me about it.

This isn't a WE AGAINST YOU - sometimes it's just me trying to get to terms with peoples opinions. so nothing to me is laughable unless Ange comes out with a Didgeridoo pisses in it & explains 'it's who we are mate'
